Disappointed yet still surprised

I tried to place a large order through a walmart platform seller but walmart kept blocking it for fraud. I have an active account there and everything was the same including the shipping address, items I was purchasing, my phone #, etc. i even turned on location services in the app so that it would hopefully see that my order would ship to the same address I've received orders to before and am physically at while placing the order. The only thing that had changed from previous orders was the amount was much larger than normal and with a new payment method.
Walmart's customer service is extremely quick, friendly, and knowledgable but powerless to help in this situation. There was no way to verify my identity or otherwise get them to let my transaction go through other than wait up to 2 days for an email from their fraud prevention team.
So instead I went to Costco and gave them a substantial amount of money instead. I know even this significant purchase for me is peanuts to walmart but turning away people looking to spend many thousands of dollars in a single transaction seems pretty dumb to me. Thankfully one of their competitors was willing and able to assist. In the future I'll still shop walmart and continue to buy and hold shares in their company but when I want to drop a bunch of cash I probably would either shop elsewhere or in person since the app kneecaps larger purchases.

Love Walmart

I just revisited Walmart and am in LOVE. One negative comment I do have about a very recent in-store experience I had was, and I won’t mention any names, but I had a very bad experience with one of your checkout people, cashiers. She was super unfriendly, and when I tried to be kind, she was super rude. She actually asked me if I wanted to check out in a different line. I told her no, that she could check me out, but that I would be back to the store the next day and let the store manager and, a superstar employee with whom I had worked a few days earlier, know about my experience with this woman.

I am a very good shopper! I am also a promoter. This cashier should not, in my opinion, be working where she is interacting with the public. I understand that people sometimes have bad days, but as an experienced business person, and a mother of an adult son, I would relay to this woman that she needs to leave her personal life at home… And come to work with a smile on her face. Just a piece of advice. In my opinion as well, this negative negative attitude of this particular employee at Walmart, may cause the next customer to NOT want to shop at Walmart! Just thought you should know.

I will definitely be back to Walmart, and probably this particular Walmart. I am hoping this employee has a smile on her face when I see her!

DEFINITELY NOT 5 stars

Idk if this will make it to the feed but I hope it does. Walmart is amazing … their products and prices…, but the PEOPLE and employees LACK training, integrity, knowledge and drive. What happened to QUALITY? And honest businesses? Walmart will advertise ALL these products on their site- specifying the certain location and store—— and you ORDER these items and even choose substitutes based off of what they ADVERTISE that they have (AVAILABLE/IN STOCK/NOT IN STOCK) but then you don’t receive these items but you know what is always available and what you receive?!? WALMART BRAND PRODUCTS!!!! They will advertise a brand name which is unavailable but THRIR VERSION is always available! It’s beyond a pyramid scheme- THEN they put a HOLD on say $460 when your order is $380 total then when you have items missing or not received, your order total is say $310- so HERE THEY ARE WITH $150 of YOUR DOLLARS FOR 10 days while you’re not only without the ITEMS TGAT THEY *ADVERTISE* oh! Don’t forget the delivery charges and Walmart plus and the fact that u paid ten dollars to get it within an hour but you received HALF YOUR ORDER?! lol FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!!! And I’m without my money (not EBT or food stamps) for a week- and the food I needed- what if this was CHRISTMAS DINNER AND YALL FORGOT AND DIDNT HAVE HALF MY ORDER /ITEMS?!

Most extremely effective well experienced crypto recovery service expertises!

Now charging credit card for substitutions when paying with EBT

Just when I thought that Walmart could not get any worse so I’ve been with them for years now and I’ve had constant problems but they’ve all been worked out now they inserted a new rule for us. Poor people if you are paying with EBT they now charge a credit card on file for your substitutes. They do not charge your EBT card, according to customer service, that’s the only way that they can provide you substitutes all of a sudden if you are Walmart plus customer they will charge your credit card on file they will not repeat will not do that. They will have to charge it so you’re telling me that if I get my reload of 216 and EBT that if I do not have money on my credit card on file for substitutes then therefore I cannot get food yes that’s exactly what they’re saying how fair stuff for people with families so you’re telling me that there is a woman with a family of five who just got all of her EBT but she does not have any money on her card. her family has to starve because you guys will not charge the EBT for substitutes anymore, how fair that is to us we are already Walmart plus customers and we are paying with EBT now you’re telling me that I have to be hungry or some other poor person with the family has to be hungry because we don’t have money on our credit cards. what about those of us who get paid once a month?

Lisa freaking ROCKS!!!

Your nighttime self checkout host, Lisa, at Walmart in Onalaska…IS THE MOST FRIENDLIEST AND HELPFUL MEMBER OF YOUR TEAM THAT WE HAVE EVER HAD HELPING US OR JUST PLAIN BEING FRIENDLY and NEVER EVER IMPATIENT RUDE PUSHY AND UNKIND like the other girls and boys you have had at this same store same shift. LISA IS A KEEPER AND I REALLY HOPE this review somehow gives her the recognition and thanks that she truly deserves because the other people were so awful and just downright mean to myself my husband my children and some other elderly people that we didn’t come back for quite awhile. When we did it was only gona be one time cuz there was no where else we could go. Thankfully, Lisa happened to be working and she went above and beyond and restored our faith in your staff or at least with one of them anyway. As for the elderly couple, we had to help them find something and help them check out as the young girl was rude snotty impatient and just nasty cuz he was holding her up from closing. It was truly appalling. We have been up to the minute a few times since you no longer are open 24 hours cuz that is the only time we can shop and Lisa has always been so helpful and courteous and never pushy. She is seriously a wonderful asset for you. I hope she stays. THANK YOU LISA. WE APPRECIATE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE FOR US!! PLEASE DONT LEAVE AND DONT CHANGE YOUR SHIFT. LOL

Disappointed

I used to love this app. I’ve been exclusively purchasing from Walmart online since 2020. Lately I’ve been noticing that on things that I purchase regularly they increase the price dramatically. When you go in the store it isn’t that much. On many things I buy they will say they are unavailable for delivery all of a sudden, even though they’re in stock and I’ve had them delivered many times. Especially toilet paper. I usually buy this great toilet paper, it’s in stock, but it says all of a sudden it’s unavailable for delivery, only cottenelle is available for delivery. Do they have a shady thing going on with that company where they won’t let any toilet paper deliver except for theirs? My children only like this one poptart. My only option to purchase it is if I pay 9.95 shipping fees, even though I’m a member and get free shipping. Sometimes they jack the price up to ship for 50$ for one box. FIFTY dollars!!be careful on your “my items” list. Many times the price has completely changed like the poptarts. You think you’re just re adding to your cart, when in reality it’s $100 or something absurd for a box of cereal. You have to watch your cart carefully. Especially if you just add things to your cart and check out on a different day, when your order is ready to complete. The prices change.
Many many of the things I regularly buy day out of stock, but when you go in they are in fact stocked.
So many times the price has been cheaper in store vs the app.

Major ongoing issues

This is my 4th attempt using a different method for each attempt to resolve the issue. AFTER you place an your online order,(pickup,delivery or shipped) the option to “EDIT” or “Change” your order is impossible and will go as far as letting you make all the necessary changes and once you click “Update Order” it has been saying “Sorry,Error Try again at a later.” Or something similar. Even if it’s literally ONLY been 2mins since placing the order and it has available time for “Adding or Editing” items . There’s a couple hours left before the “Order Person” is beginning to complete the order, to have ready for the scheduled time slot . It’s beyond frustrating and I have lost count of how many times I have had to completely cancel my entire order, when it’s only ONE item that needs correcting. Ex; Change order to “Regular milk” instead the “low fat” I accidentally ordered instead. I have successfully made contact with a LIVE Customer Service Chat Agent for assistance in correcting or fixing the issue. Of course this issue is MY FAULT despite the fact I have followed and attempted ALL suggestions to fix it. Please help me/us/anyone who’s struggling with this time consuming issue. Otherwise I will (unfortunately) be forced to go back to the original shopping In-Store method and my nerves or anxiety will suffer greatly from it. Thanks in advance for Whomever is reading this and taking the necessary steps to resolve this issue.

Exemplary Customer Service

Walmart+ and the Walmart+ app are phenomenal. My family and I have been members of Walmart+ since it's initial launch -- the app has never failed to function seamlessly and flawlessly. However, the instigation for this review is actually due Walmart+ customer service. I've only had need to contact Walmart+ customer service on a couple of occasions, but each time the level of customer service has been so easy, so effortless & an absolute joy & pleasure. Each time I was offered an unsolicited discount, coupon or the customer service rep extended and granted an unsolicited benefit or bonus to compensate me for any inconvenience, despite my not have actually been inconvenienced. This occasion was no exception, Joanna the customer service rep who assisted me in my latest contact with customer service was as outstanding and as enjoyable as my first experience with customer service. Walmart+ customer service department reps have been kind, considerate, polite, personable, friendly, engaging, sympathetic, and, as always, consummately professional. I highly recommend enrolling in Walmart+ membership as well as the downloading and usage of the Walmart+ app. Walmart corporation is, as they have been in so many instances, the benchmark to which all others should be held and attempt to emulate. Thanks Joanna for being so wonderful, such a joy to meet, so kind, so helpful and an absolute pleasure -- you were a glorious start to my day. Thanks again.
