frustrating user experience

the search function does not allow enough refinement. the state of the RV industry is such that there are many makes/models that buyers justifiably want to avoid, while there are others that have much more trustworthy reputations. we should be able to refine our searches more effectively.

and second - i just clicked on a rig and got a pop up msg that the vehicle was no longer available - and then it froze, but ONLY under the “discover” tab. the rest of the app worked fine bit but obviously i needed to use the discover tab and that remained completely frozen.

Love it but one suggestion

Love the app, but would it be possible to get notifications on saved listings that are sold or removed? I can’t tell when an RV is sold if it just disappears from my saved list. Gets very confusing when I open the app and I though I had 15 saved listings but only 3 are showing up. Did they sell? What price did they sell for? Did the seller just give up? What happened? It would be nice to know to learn the market.

Difficult photo navigation, useless filters, bugs

The app is difficult to navigate photos and filters are ineffective. Photos are low quality and clunky to browse. Images don’t fit to screen in landscape orientation, and when in list view if you purposefully or accidentally tap an image it changes the view to single, then to return to a list view you must navigate all the way back to the listing and tap back into the photos, losing your place. If you are viewing photos and leave the app even for a moment, you are kicked back to the listing. RV Trader doesn’t include filters for major features such as Air Conditioning, heat, # of axels, refrigerator, toilet. Also, you can’t use the filter to de-select features. Example, you want a bumper pull travel trailer, but do not want a pop-up or a toy hauler… well you are going to see all of them because when you select travel trailer it includes both. There are also bugs, the app randomly crashes and the Report Listing feature simply doesn’t submit.

Difficult navigation, useless filters

The app is difficult to navigate listings. I can only imagine everyone simply wants quick easy access to the listing photos and this app doesn’t seem to properly support landscape view. It T’s clunky to tap on a single photo and then you just return to the listing and tap the photo again to get to the photo list view.

Don’t get me started on the useless filters, they don’t include filters for major features such as Air Conditioning, # of axels, refrigerator, toilet, etc. and you can’t filter out every types, say you want a bumper pull travel trailer, but not a pop-up or toy hauler, well you are going to see all of them.

100% of inquiries seemed to be fraudulent + lots of other issues

All of the inquiries I received seemed to be completely fraudulent, pushing either specific car reporting platforms or other sales platforms. Most of the time when I tried to respond to messages they would fail to send (I tried many times from different internet connection and from different devices). I have 6 days left on my account and the place to check my messages has disappeared so I can no longer access those apparently. I spoke to their tech support, the girl seemed nice and helpful. She told me she didn’t have the authority to grant what I asked for, but said she would have a supervisor contact me to assist.. it’s been nearly a week and I have not heard back from anyone I highly recommend saving your time and your money and use another platform. Any other platform (especially considering how expensive it is to sell on this app)

Update: I got ahold of a supervisor. They were no help whatsoever. They looked at my profile and said it looked good and tried to upsell me to spend hundreds of dollars more

New version step backward

I was loving RV Trader. Been searching for an RV to buy. I had a few saved searches dialed into the make/model/foorplan etc. then the interface was updated. My old searches no longer worked. And there is no easy way to recreate the search. Now you can only select one floorplan. Since sellers don’t all use the exact same description and since you cannot select more than one floorplan you can’t see all the available rigs in the floorplan you want UNLESS you select all floorplans. Then you get hundreds you don’t want. You can go through and try to add more filters but frankly it is all too much trouble. Kicking this app to the curb. Bummer because I loved it before it was “upgraded”. Adios!!

New configuration is cumbersome

This new version is much less user friendly unless you are searching for a specific make and model. Broad searches just aren’t possible if you can only select one manufacturer then one make and then one model. I’ve just started using general TVs nationwide app to search different models of the same type of floorplan. The older version was much easier to use for broader searches. I would only use this if I had selected a specific model and I wanted to track it for availability

They ruined it

It was absolutely fine before. You could do more specific searches and see your results in a simpler format. Sometimes the need to alter the appearance for the endless pursuit of appearing more professional can ruin an app. Now it’s clunky and takes much longer for your search experience. I suggest concentrating on keeping the person doing the search happier than to the person you’re selling the ad space. I’m going to delete this app

Good for buying but not for selling / listing

Bought my original RV through RV trader so naturally I first went to RVTrader to sell my RV recently. But when I went to list my RV it was a $380 listing fee. I was floored by how much it was so I decided to try it on Facebook marketplace and Craigslist listing it on RVTrader, it ended up selling on Craigslist, and I didn’t even use RVTrader and saved a ton of cash. That bugs me how high the fees are when I’m going to purchase my RV next time. I’m realizing because of the high listing fees that you’re not getting the full selection of RVs because many people can’t afford or don’t want to pay the exhort price that RVTrader sells so now I have to go onto other platforms to see the full list of available RVs.

*Update. The new interface is awful. The search and filter function is broken 😞
