  • Great app

Got this with a purchase from stringsandbeyond, awesome app!
The backing tracks are worth it alone, nevermind excellent lessons.
    Thumbs up!!
  • Love Jamplay, but App has bugs

I really like Jamplay as a service for guitar instruction. Great videos and tools on their website. I bought a yearly membership and am happy with their website. Downloaded the app and even though I can log in, it still tries to get me to upgrade as if I don't have a paid account already. It doesn't sync up with whatever lessons I've already viewed on my PC. Needs work.

  • Jam-Play

Great program. Helps me tune my guitar. When I took up playing guitar as a new "hobby" I wasn't even able to tune my instrument by ear. Using the tuner was fantastic in helping me learn how to "hear" the right tones.

Using Jam tracks for backing play really made changing chords better each time I tried to practice.

  • Must must have

I have been playing for over 35 years and am a decent player. This app has not only improved my playing but has opened a thousand windows. It fits any style of playing. If you don't download you are a fool. Thanks jamplay. Outstanding
  • Love JamPlay but needs work

Let me lead with a positive: JamPlay's video lessons are awesome. The song lessons inspire me to learn songs and the theory behind the composition and the teachers are not only amazing guitarists, but great teachers. The app itself needs work though. This version is definitely more along the lines of what I would want from JamPlay. It's basically an extension of the phase learning and has the same video lessons in the areas of scales, theories, improvising and of course song video lessons. The App seems to spontaneously close out when trying to sort song titles by genre, teacher or skill level. There doesn't seem to be a way to sort songs by artist or song name. The video lessons work but the supplements cannot be accessed for some reason. I love them idea of the app because I'm almost never in front of a computer and my guitar at the same time so I need a good way to access JamPlay on my phone but straight web access just doesn't cut it. I'm hopeful that the bugs will be fixed because my subscription is well worth the money. This is 3 stars. If the supplements can be accessed and the bugs are gone, it's a 5.

  • Well worth trying this

Very useful app for the beginner/intermediate guitarist - lots of features - worth persisting with it despite some quirky behaviour
  • Love it but could be sooo much greater! 🎸🎸🎸🎸

It's a great app, very knowledgable instructors and top-notch videos. The only reason I'm giving it 4 and not 5 🌟 is because there are so few videos that are downloadable to your iPhone/iPad. I'd love to pay extra to be able to download an entire lesson of a specific song or a scale practice session and have it in my iPad when I need it. Not a lick but an entire lesson. For people like me who travel overseas all the time (259 out of 365 days last year alone) it makes it almost impossible to use as many hotels, even very nice hotels have spotty wi-fi and often you can't practice in your room because you'll wake people up. So you try it in break-rooms, work out facilities, etc. only to realize there's no wi-fi there. A full-lesson download feature would get 100 stars from me!!! So even though I seldom use this app I still love it the few times I can use it.

  • Great app

Perfect app if you are learning or playing by yourself. The jam tracks are awesome and there is a ton of them. Love the tuner it uses your mic to pick up sound instead of playing a note for you to compare. Chord library is extensive! Hard to find the basics. Chord progressions, scales, all kinds of stuff in this app and it really is free. Love it!

  • Awesome app,but needs some fixes.

Really great app, great interface, chords/scales are fun to use, but there should be more exercises and the videos should have better audio quality. Other than that its awesome :)
  • Is it just me?

First off, I love Jamplay. This app however does not seem to be working properly for me. I've scoured reviews for similar problems that I'm experiencing to no avail. I'm on an iPhone 5c and NONE of the videos will play. Also most of the jam tracks will not play. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Do I need to update my operating system or what (haven't updated to ios8 yet)? Help please!
