All I wanna say is they don’t care about us 🚨⚠️🚮

If you are wanting to drive with Uber I should warn you to be careful they do not care about their drivers, I’ve been driving with them for almost 2 years with over 4,000 rides and a 4.9 rating and I’ve never had an issue. I just regret not investing in a camera didn’t think it would’ve been necessary since for the most part everything was smooth but that would’ve saved me the headache. But recently they took away my account indefinitely due to three racist, impolite, and self centered women making up lies on me because they made fun of my age and tried to antagonize me and I asked them if “they would like this ride to continue” because I shouldn’t have to be subject to that harassment. They said I was driving reckless and made sexual advances towards one of them which is 100% inaccurate especially considering they were overweight and one of them was drunk. And all Uber can say is I didn’t respond to emails that I didn’t see due to me driving 7 days a week for 12hrs straight from sun down to sun up. I admit I should check my emails regularly but doesn’t take away they took away my lively hood on baseless accusations. I have an ill mother and 2 kids I’m struggling to feed and house due to this. I could understand a suspension but just a ban off a first offense with no prior suspensions is overzealous. I feel like I’m being discriminated against and I hope my story a save someone else the trouble.

Not professional

I take the same trip home-work and work-home. I pay Apple Pay and it shows one price. Even with no traffic some drivers add some unplanned $5-$7 for the trip. Uber should show exact price and punish the drivers who only think how to get some extra money from customers. If one price shown, should be the price. Same trip, same no traffic at 5am in the morning and some “honest” drivers add additional money, some of the drivers not. The problem is I can’t report it. There is no customer support when drivers charge extra. Technically there is support, but no one is able to submit anything. It’s always 404 mistake and no page. Is it fraud or how else to explain? It must be an option tho report drivers who charge extra money from nothing. They probably add extra traffic when there is no traffic, etc. Uber don’t care about the customers. Why do you allow to charge extra money over the first payment? Why don’t you have customer support. There is no working email to contact customer support. There is no working customer support on the web site. Anyone, please, google customer support email or any other methods to contact anyone from Uber. Good luck. Error 404 will be on your screen.

Fall of usual standards

I have been using Uber for more than 7 years now and never had an issue before. But yesterday in York a driver left me after 12am alone and stranded just because I argued with him about the right pick up point, which should have been in the temporary car park beside the train station. There’s people waiting there for rides, many Uber cars entering and picking passengers there. The app says that the pick up point is there! This driver whose name I cannot remember responded to me in a very aggressive manner when I first argued with him that where he stopped was not the correct pick up point and he said that Ubers are not allowed to go inside the car park, which is clearly a lie, confirmed by the second driver which picked me after this incident. This is appalling customer service, the guy just left me there in the middle of the night, alone! Luckily that are is not dangerous and the other driver didn’t take much time to arrive but if I was in any other area which is safe, how this could be! I called Uber customer service to report what happened and they were not even decent to offer me a fair compensation for the stress I passed. Just says they would investigate the matter, but what they will do about it I won’t know likely. I deleted the app and not using it again! It’s a shame because it used to be very convenient and cheaper prices, but the standard of some drivers is shocking.

Unfair treatment towards customers in an array of situations

I don’t think I’ve ever had such a disappointing experience with taxi‘s as I had with Uber, quite astonishing how many times people (me included) make a report because someone cancelled the trip and I still had to pay, or the times when a driver would make inappropriate comments making me feel unsafe and guess what! If you cancel, they will get their money and their behaviour is excused. In general I have also met some with an audacity to be rude to someone that is just minding their own business and not making any issues, just tired on the way back home from a long shift, feels like they take advantage on those occasions and know they will get away with it with money still in their pocket. I even had someone get in my Uber and drive off on it when I finished work late night, only to arrive and realise my ride was already near my home.

Recently found out that there is Uber Pets and they charge double the price! Not only, someone I know was on the phone to me recently whilst waiting for one and the trip got cancelled twice (they would arrive close to the destination and simply not take the trip), making them extremely late to a vet appointment, making them reschedule the appointment and they were still charged for the cancelled trips. Waste of time is my point. Support your local taxi businesses people, they aren’t money hungry corporate companies that are more than willing to accommodate in various situations.

Drivers keep cancelling or scamming

Uber needs to be tougher on drivers. Had a driver last week confirm he picked me up while I was still waiting at the pick up zone and I could see on the map he never came anywhere near me. I watched on the map as he drove down the road, ended the trip nowhere near the drop off and I was charged the full amount for the trip! Put in a request for a refund but that takes 7-10 business days to go back into the account. Surely if Uber tracks both driver and passenger locations it should be pretty obvious that he left me stranded. Then today I tried to get a ride, waited 15 minutes for someone to accept the ride only to cancel a few minutes later. Once you accept a job you should finish it unless there’s an emergency, and in that case they shouldn’t be able to accept another offer for a time. This app used to be a great alternative to overpriced, scammy taxis but now they’re just as bad and nearly as expensive, pulling all the same bull that taxi drivers do.

Update: still cancelling. Taking an hour to get a ride. Got cancelled on 4 times with ridiculous wait times and still costing me $45 to get to work. If you get cancelled on more than twice you should be prioritised, driver should have to contact to cancel and you should get a heavy discount. I’m just trying to get to work and lazy drivers are going to cost me my job in that case I will sue for lost income. Fix this app.

Uber pet - drove past us twice then cancelled!

We ordered this Uber pet to get a taxi home - my wife, my dog and I from my parents house after we’d had dinner and drinks. We were impressed with the booking on the app and waited outside the house. We followed the driver and watched him drive past the house. We then followed him on the app a little round the estate then about 5-10 min later he drove back past us - very slowly. We knew it was him as we had the number plate from the app notifications. In this time, I had tried to call our driver - Abdul 2x but there was no answer at all. We were really annoyed about this having been stood on the pavement watching him drive past twice! And trying to call with no answer. The app then said no drivers available , and then gave us a notification that another taxi would collect us 25 minutes later! A different driver. We decided to walk home as we’d get home in that time. We were so disappointed as this was our first time using the Uber pet service having been told it would be available in our area. It appeared very rude and unacceptable service and we won’t be using again as it appears extremely unreliable. We took a screenshot of the driver having driven past us initially, then a photograph of him driving past us for the second time, both with time stamps.

The “Underage Rider” menu choice in UBER Driver taken off...

This issue is not on your list. Everyday when I’m out at the morning school day start and end hours I receive a fusillade of pings from the students who are either underage and on a parents account, lie about their age or—incredibly—are under age and have an UBER Rider account! Of course there’s legitimate student riders, but they seem to be a minority. Dealing with them is time wasting so I either don’t accept their ride requests when I see they’re near a school (which decreases my acceptance rate and hurts me with promotions) or if call them before I go to the pick-up location near a school to ask if they’re 18 they often wait for me to cancel and my cancellation rate goes up and hurts me with UBER promotions). Here’s the principal problem: UBER’s previous App had an “Underage Rider” on the menu choices for canceling a trip-which would not hurt my acceptance or cancellation percentages. That choice is no longer on the menu in the upgraded UBER app. I’ve probably contacted UBER help 12 times hoping they hear my situation, believing-maybe foolishly-there must be thousands of other drivers that share my no win crisis that don’t take the time to contact them....I’m putting this criticism on their App Store rating in hopes they may monitor it and take care of this issue by putting the menu choice in their next upgrade.

HELP! ALL PAYMENT METHODS DECLINE, ALL CARDS ARE UP TO DATE

I am unable to use my Uber or Uber Eats accounts. I have tried every practical approach from chatting within the app to calling customer service - and nobody is able to assist! Each of my payment methods on file I confirmed are in good standing and have no issues. I have done everything from deleting a reinstalling the app, removing and adding payment methods back. I have even added Uber Cash to the app and the app will not let me pay for rides or food with my Uber Cash!

It is genuinely perplexing how nobody is able to assist! I have level 1 telling me my account is in good standing no issues, and then level 2 saying there is a problem and they can't help me. "We are unable to process the selected payment method for this trip. Please select a credit or debit card issued in the US." Every credit card I have has been issued in the US, and even when looking to pay with Uber Cash I get an error message.

My ask is simple - I want to be able to use Uber and Uber Eats again! I want to give Uber money and I can't have services rendered that I'm looking for. I am looking for someone state-side to call me and tell me what the issue is so I can resume using Uber again, even after this very frustrating experience.

Where do o begin….

From the moment you book here in Myrtle Beach SC, you can be assured of the finest people that will be driving you or picking you up thre so far have gone above and beyond and I for one have been impressed each time. The first driver was George, friendly, safe, knowledgeable and a great conversational presence. Today though I want to give accolades to Jasmin, what a beautiful spirit this woman has and you can’t help but feel at home with her behind the wheel, courtesy just seems to come natural to her, her smile is one that will make you stop thinking about your own issues in life once you see that smile on her face. So in conclusion, these are my first two rides with Uber and you would definitely be happy if you get either of these two wonderful people as your Uber driver!
Congrats to the both of you, I can only imagine that the rest of our local Uber drivers are up to the standards that these two set for themselves, I have to reason to doubt that the other driver must look up yo these two fine drivers, Uber if you are listening, in my humble opinion, you should recognize them for their outstanding performance!
It has been my pleasure no, it has been my honor to have met these two, life is a journey and their journey is going places in this world.

I love this app however…….

I love using Uber however regardless of how much I have on my voucher a lot of the time it is asking for my debit card, when this is going on I have over $100 dollars or more. Also the thing is this it isn’t like the voucher is not covering every single ride. I was told this is a glitch. Well the thing is I cannot afford to have this as an ongoing issue due to the fact that is how I am utilizing disability services. One time I was waiting on a ride and someone else took it. There was a time this month a driver canceled a ride even though I was already in her car. I get that may sound odd but I would have not canceled the ride being that I was already picked up. After the ride showed up as canceled I had noticed some of my voucher was already taken off. I have my county board of developmental disabilities giving me vouchers every month. When there is issues with these vouchers it causes me emotional distress. I have contacted the board, I have contacted the company that supplies the vouchers to the board and they have said reach out to Uber about a lot of issues. I am worried that at some point that if the vouchers are not going through that is going to screw me and a bunch of other people over. I do not have an option to get my driver’s license ( long story). I get that there is only so much that can be done. Thank you for providing transportation and customer service.
