Need to be able to change top bar color
Love the app, purchased the additional option to create more notebooks. I do love the simplicity, but I do wish it had some more basic formatting like creating bullet points. So not sure if I'm going to splurge on the Day One app instead(a lot more expensive than this with a yearly prescriptions. I suppose I can do formatting on another app then screen shot, then place it in this app but that would be tedious. Excellent simple journal
I love this app. It's a really nice basic journaling app, with some cool extra features. It's really easy to jot things down, which is what you want when journaling. The interface is wonderfully simple and clean. The only feature that I think would improve this app would be the ability to change the font and size for individual journal entries, not just the entire journal, but that's really a minor issue.Show lessJeremy Sarka
Great Holiday Journal
I was looking for an App to record my holidays on. I wanted to be able to look back easily and find notes from the past and this is just the thing! No more scraps of paper that I will never find. Dealing with some mental health stuff at the moment, and taking advice to write down my thoughts in the form of sorting my head out, found this app in the store, liked the reviews and thought I'd give it a go. Not kept a diary for years due to my scrawly handwriting but being able to type my thoughts out is brilliant. Have written every day since I got the app and find myself looking forward to writing. Joy of Journaling
I have had Chronicle for only over a week but enjoy the simplicity of it. The features which allow for different fonts, sizes, and page colors all make for ease on the eyes, while being able to add pictures for the day allows for quick recall of memories.
I have already posted on FB and encouraged others desiring to journal to get it. The price for the ease and features is an added bonus.

Perfect app for recreational writing.
For journaling and recreational writing, this is a perfect app. I was using Evernote- which is a great app too. But this is better for just writing.
Chronicle is now my permanent journal and recreational writing center.
Developers, If you are reading this, thank you for your hard work and effort. And please don't feel compelled to complicate the app as you update and maintain it. A lot of us just want to write. You have created the perfect vehicle for that.Show lessmightyjackrabbit

Simple, elegant and effective journal app.
If you are looking for a simple, elegant app that enables you to keep a basic journal whilst retaining control of your content then I would thoroughly recommend Chronicle. Enables text entries in a range of fonts along with photos. You can back up data to Dropbox etc. or export all entries as plain text. With the additional in app Notebooks purchase you can keep multiple journals. Thank you to the developer, this was exactly what I was looking for.Show lessDuncan the Grey

I have bought the full version of this app and I love how you can have multiple "Notebooks" to keep things organized. I'm using this for my writing blog, and to plan out the novels I would like to publish. The app is easy to use, and each Notebook can have a different color which you activate by changing the page settings. This is excellent for keeping things color-coded, such as stories in a series.
