  • Just Right

I searched and downloaded a number of journals before finding this one. I'm using this for a Garden Journal so I needed to be able to add daily entries, change dates for future projects and add photos of plants, all so I can refer back in a years time. So many other journal app's either had too many or to few features. The only wish for this app would be to have the calendar sync with iPhone/iPad and have a reminder function. Other then that, this app is Just Right.

  • Fabulous app

I love this app, have used it for years, the latest update is great as it uses the ios functionality to send and backup more efficiently to dropbox etc.,
I'd like to see future version allowing more formatting functionality for the text please
  • I absolutely love it.

I really love how easy it is to just pop open the app and start writing. I used to want to journal so much, but could never sit down at the end of the day and remember everything I wanted to remember. I have awful memory and for this app to be so handy and easy is perfect. Especially since it isn't a physical notebook that I could leave out and anyone could open and read. I like the layout and the options it gives. And I think the only thing that could improve it is the option to put a lock on the app so that if someone opens my phone, they still have to have a password or something to open my journal. But A++ on the app so far. 😊

  • Easy to use diary

This is a very easy to use dated diary. It is great for travel notes as well as collected thoughts. Buy the in-app enhancement so you can keep multiple diaries so you will always stay on top of things.

Make a point of backing up somewhere to "the cloud" so you can access information in different apps or on different computers.

  • Lovely app

I wanted an app I could journal in, and I couldn't be happier with this one! The layout is simple and clean, and it's super easy to use. I also love that the Notebooks extension allows multiple "journals" in the same app, making it easy to categorize journal entries. It's also nice to be able to set a passcode on the app for privacy, especially when siblings and friends are prone to borrow my devices.

The only ding I have against the app is that entries made on my iPad don't show up on my iPod, and vice verses. It IS super easy to "export" across AirDrop, but doing so creates duplicates every time, which is kind of annoying.

Overall, I love the app. Definitely worth the few dollars!

  • My thoughts

I like the ease of use, the extras added to the keyboard. I like that you can use whatever font. You can enlarge the words and change their color.

I'll write some things down below that I think would improve at least my experience. None of them are needed, but in case you have the freedom, budget, and most importantly, the desire to add/change some things, I thought I'd add my thoughts:

One addition could be despite choosing the color for your notebook - provided that you purchase the notebooks add-on - it wouldn't affect the page color as well, but instead the page has its own palette of colors to choose from, and the option of lined pages.

I also think it would personally help if the writing platform could stretch to both edges of the screen when I turn my tablet to the side. I get distracted by the column of entries on the side and the buttons in the upper corners.

And lastly, it would definitely improve if there were titles to the entries as well as the date; I can write about several enormously different things on the same day, and all of them have the same name.

Other than that, I like the app; it's easy to use, has nice options. I like the layout. It's good for me!

Thank you for taking the time to produce this app,

    Ezzi

  • Two thumbs up!

I am enjoying the use of this app for "journaling" purposes especially because I abhor writing by hand in general due to my incredibly bad penmanship! I am quite fond of the visual options such as page color and the variety of fonts. The one thing I do not like is the inability to change page color or font for just one entry which would enable it to stand out. Instead, when a change is made, it changes all historical entries to match the change.

  • this app is awesome but...

I love it for lots of reason - mainly that it feels like a real journal - and for a life-long journaler that has made the full leap into digital writing thats very nice.

However - I wrote a full on stream of consciousness journal that for some reason didnt save. I wrote the app developer who advertised "please write me anytime" an SOS and I got crickets....

I ultimately got over my loss and kept this app in great hopes this never happens again. And so far it hasnt. Just wish they had been more communiticative.

  • Clear Winner

This app is stress free, functional and reliable. It is not gimmicky with stickers etc. It simply provides good sound clear function.
Plus it does do what every writing/journal app is supposed to do and that is it saves what I have entered every time and never fails, never drops out (unlike some apps I've used).

  • Enjoying this app

I like the functionality of this app. It has more options for how I can set up my pages than previous versions.

I also began to reuse this out more often if I was going through life transition. I like the ability to set the date and time especially if I can't record events right when they occur. It's been helpful to me
