Great
I bought my iPad knowing that I loved its "toy" features but desperately looking for productivity gains that would justify the purchase.
Popplet has been a great help with the productivity side of the story. I used to keep a scratchpad and pencil alongside my computer. Any real thinking and creative work came from that scratchpad. Well, my iPad with Popplet has pretty much replaced the scratchpad and pencil. And I have a digital record of my mental meanderings.

Finally a business use for my iPad!
I initially had a few crashes when moving from landscape to portrait, but a simple power cycle of the iPad fixed it. :-)
I contacted Popplet Support with some requests for new features - their email reply was prompt, polite and enthusiastic!
There are quite a few "Mind Mapping" apps on the App Store, but Popplet gives you so much more freedom. Sometimes my thought processes are nowhere near "connected" and Popplet allows me to pin a thought or mini-business process to one side of a larger scale process.
Also I use the colours to depict "departments" and can therefore create a legend to one side of the main Popplet. All the Mind Mapping apps that I've looked at can't do that! Popplet is also great for creating a quick departmental organogram.
Popplet is nice and simply, and I can see the time when having different shaped popples and flow arrows on the links would be useful - something to add to a future update maybe? :-)
This is a great little app - okay it's £5.49, but I've made more use of it than any other dedicated "Mind Mapping" app that I've bought from the Apps Store.

Great app that is really going places
Well done guys. Really useful app, slick, clean and great base functionality. Really responsive to questions and I believe we will see functionality growing over the coming weeks. I use it for wire framing apps for clients -great for site maps etc, and brilliant for collaborative working sessions

I have gone through almost every mind mapping app and this one is the best.
I only wish you could change the popplet size to triangle or other flow chart type shapes. And ability to add text to the lines between popplets. If it had those 2 things...I could replace visio for network diagramming.

A simple and easy to use app
I use it as a mind map app but it's got way more potentials.

Using it daily within work
For me, this is a perfect iPad app and enables me to do things that previously required paper or whiteboard or lots of post-its. I use it to mind-map ideas and notes for quick reference. Also use it to prioritise concepts (the post-it note replacement) when designing systems for clients - this is where the touch interface comes into its own versus older style tablet PCs. Room for improvement but worth every penny as it is. Try the free 'lite' version first to see if it suits you.Show lessJD_UK
Great app!
I'm a visual person and lists can only do so much. I use this to plan out everything from personal projects to product features. The interface is incredibly intuitive and fun to use. The support staff is responsive, friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend this app.Joystickers.com
Great tool! Excellent mobile whiteboard!
I was really missing my whiteboard while traveling, so I got Popplet. It's a great substitute for a whiteboard when you're on the go! I highly recommend it. It's already been a lifesaver & become a necessity for me. I hope they implement a "presentation" feature so I can use it as a keynote/powerpoint substitute as well.Show lessneroisyou
Effective through its Simplicity
This app has been very effective for me in inspiring creative thought and new perspectives. Its simplicity means that the interface does not get in the way, unlike other more feature-rich but complex apps I own, and relationships between items are easy to indicate.
The output can be saved/emailed as raster (JPEG) or vector (PDF) which provides flexible onward use and output editing possibilities.
For me, this app is about simple, quick-fire creativity. I can recommend it for that purpose.Show lessDrogvucy
