  • The best

Site maps are such a pain to make in omnigraffe or illustrator, I used to dread making them. And using paper isn't good either as you often have to restructure the map as you go along especially for complex sites. This app just work how you always wanted it to.
One star subtracted only cos it needs the ability to group select or multi select in case you want to mass edit nodes.
    Just get this.

  • Profesional Photography Mood Boards have just arrived on iPad

This is an absolutely fantastic app! As a professional photographer, this allows me to create so many different mood boards and share them with all members of the creative team. The flexibility and interface is a dream.

I want this as a standalone app for my Mac!!
  • Perfect for me!

I started to map a project on the free version of Popplet. The process was so intuitive and easy to use that it allowed me to focus more on my thought progression than on the mapping action. Consequently I decided to pause to purchase the upgrade. I continued my mind mapping on the upgraded version, more comfortable now in the thought that I am using a tool that I can count on for so many planning exercises that I can safely store digitally, take with me wherever I go and email in PDF format to my colleagues. This has made my iPad a working instrument and has more than justified its purchase. Great job, Popplet team. I look forward to future upgrades but as of now I am very happy with this app.

  • Simple and powerful for focusing thoughts

Popplet may look simple but that is where its power lies. Such a quick way to throw down and link ideas on a single page and easily share with others. Takes only minutes to learn to use. Great also for producing very quick relationship diagrams for use in any desktop app.

Certainly looking forward to future developments of an already very useful tool.

  • A good start

I am mainly using this app for planning trips. Its very easy to use and provided your web source allows you to copy text and images then getting them into a popple is simple. On this note remember that you can capture an image of whatever is on the screen by pressing the app and power buttons together. Then just insert the screen capture as an image.

There is room for improvement such as allowing you to select which popple has priority when overlapping others. Allowing arrows to indicate flow direction between items.

Be aware that if you import images that they are downscaled in colour depth within your popple. It looks like they become 256 colours which is a pity. On the Ipad screen you just get away with this however if you were to project the image it may look poor quality. Hopefully this can be improved in future versions however I imagine memory issues may be a bar to this.

Is it worth the higher than normal fee? Only just in my view and the current price may well prevent a large user base developing. If the improvements I mention were implemented then it would certainly be worth the price. Its a worthwhile planning tool and its certainly quick and easy to use.

  • Amazing

Absolutely great app. Great for planning and mind mapping. Very easy to use and yet highly powerful. Best program of this type out there...

They also offer very good customer support if you have any questions, suggestions, or simply comments.

My only wish is that they add a grid to align the popples. Still easily deserves five stars.

  • Outstanding

If you are contemplating Popplet let me encourage you to give it a try. I evaluated several mind mapping and note taking apps and Popplet was the most attractive. Once I started using it, I quickly realized its power to think visually (brainstorming, planning, process mapping) and to share with team members. Well designed and my favorite productivity app!

  • Easy to use and efficient

There are many apps out there that are far more complicated and bundled with features. I find myself using this more because of its simplicity and ease of use. Very speedy in mapping projects out and very much to the point. There are so many uses for this app - I'm finding new ones all the time.
  • Very useful app

Great app, very easy and fun to use. A few suggestions for the next version:

    - ability to choose colors for lines, as you can now with popples
    - add (hidden) notes to a popple, so you can have more info than shown at the top level
    - ability to designate a parent/child relationship between nodes, and then use that to allow the user to choose to hide the children of a specific node (to simplify viewing complex webs)
    - add a hyperlink property to a node (instead of just putting it as a visible note). Then when the node is clicked in a certain way (perhaps on a certain part of the popple), safari is opened with that link. (Ideally, this behavior would be preserved in PDF output, but I realize that might be too much to ask). This would make popplet a great way to organize an interface to distributed information.

  • Very good app, aesthetics and ergonomics for note-taking

I use Popplet to build mind maps, as a rapid prototyping means for larger pieces of work using traditional desktop mind mapping software. Popplet is very slick, appealing and easy to use. The simple interface is perfect for on-the-fly brainstorming sessions. I look forward to additional features such as interoperability with the web-based app, and some essentials like the capabilities for cutting and pasting parts of maps to other files, duplication, etc.

    Excellent work!
