Easy to use.
Quite nice application. Easy to use. There are adds but absolutely do not disturb (small banner at the screen bottom).
Good controls, useful settings, lot of skins.
You start playing with miserable levels and it automatically increases every next game from 0 to 100. Good setting if you have not played for years and need training.
Yet have not played with anyone online.
Overall, I think, this is what I was seeking for.Show lessNo waiting!
A chess game, even on a phone, has no problem playing at master levels. This game adjusts itself to my 1200 level play. It takes just a second for its move, while my time is unlimited. So many chess apps make me wait around as though the game actually needed time to think. This one doesn’t. As I relearn my old chess skills the game adjusts wonderfully. I love it!!Show lessOk for Chess
They could do better with the options and settings with where they are because it's sort of all in your face but it's a good app for playing chess however I've seen others that I liked better too. I personally like the board and pieces then the other stuff should be on a different page but I don't design the app. It's a great app for someone who is learning to play and people competing and stuff but if I want to play my buddy down the road there's an app we used to use that's it pados compatible anymore & it's the one I miss and it was simple the board & the chess pieces and that was the app I really like.Show lessAwesome
Many great modes even without pro and therefore is one of the best if not the best apps I have ever downloaded and is very much worth the small amount of space it takes up. I have had many chess apps before but deleted them within 5 minutes but this one is by far the best. I would recommend this app to anyone who loves chess I even wish I could give it 10 out of 5 starsShow lessFormat
The format of this app is well done and I enjoy the various selections in themes highly. The taking back of a move and the very insightful hints have been beneficial in my improvement of this wonderful board game. After each finished game the moving up of levels to test our skill even more is very smart. Overall, great app.Show lessLeaderboard
Just checked the leaderboard. Wow, there are hundreds, maybe thousands, don’t know exactly, gave up scrolling after several hundred players all with identical ELO ratings of 3,000. Really? 3,000? That’s higher than Magnus Carlsen’s highest ever rating of 2,882, the highest chess rating in history! These players obviously know how to hack the system. This just destroys any credibility for this otherwise nice app.
Hey Mastersoft, how about fixing this to make ratings realistic for us honest players.Show lessDeveloper Response
Hello, thank you for pointing this out. We'll find the bug and reset the leaderboard.Oblique Menu
Difficult to change initial board color and pieces - how it comes is hard to see because of piece alignment and shading so it would be good to be able to change board colors and styles and pieces, etcetera... But you can't do that even tho they advertise it or else they make it unreal difficult to do that. I like their game but I like to modify the board and pieces and it is waaay waaay too difficult! 5 stars otherwise.Show lessOverall good
This app is overall amazing. It allows anyone to play no matter their experience level. It has a very simple and user friendly look to it. These things combined make this a great game. I only have one request, every time I try to play this game with my music playing, it pauses my music. I can’t have both playing. I’ve tried turning the sound off, but it still stops it. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but this is annoying. Chess is a very quiet game, and after a while it starts to bore me. With music I’d be able to play for hours.Show lessGood but something about the rating system
When I win against the computer in training, or win someone in two player mode, why does the rating count only once and then it doesn’t count when you get out of the app?Dear App developer
Yesterday my Chess App started crashing every time it opened. The link to App Support for your product on the App Store is also not working. I called Apple support and they were unable to help. They think it's because the updates for the app have outstripped the capacity of my iPad Mini to update to the latest iOS. My iPad stops at version 9.3.5.
I uninstalled the App and reinstalled it in my attempts at troubleshooting. Before reinstalling, I was advised that an older version of the game would be downloaded - which was perfectly ok with me. But it did the same thing. So now I have to buy a new iPad to be able to play Chess?Show lessDeveloper Response
