Getting much better
I’ve been using this app for around 15 years and overall it’s been fantastic. Over the past few years however whenever I’ve updated the app it has lost functionality or been a bit buggy. This current version seems to fix all those problems and it is back to being a great old app that it used to be. The calendar templates are what makes this app so good. That and the ability to go to Google Maps directly from your from your calendar entry is also good. Please don’t change what is a great app in future updates.
I would be more than happy to pay good money for a one off purchase of a pro version to support the developers and stop the adds however am adverse to locking myself into a subscription.

Used to brilliant
Have used this app for over ten years now. Used to be flawless, but now, ever since a big “update” they did a few months ago, the location bar no longer shows up when viewing the details of any event (a very basic bug, probably not hard to fix). I’ve messaged WeekCal several times over the past few months about this, and they say the team are “looking into it,” but they do absolutely nothing to fix the issue, despite numerous updates since.
This app used to be absolutely perfect, but it’s since gone downhill and doesn’t work like it used too. A real shame, because I otherwise use it to organise virtually everything I do. What a pity that app updates are not undoable!

Subscribe basic widgets free with other apps??
‘Thanks for using WeekCal, especially to our subscribers,’ This is the message to everyone who paid for the app but didn’t take up a subscription and so now don’t even get access to basic functions. We paid when the app was released and subscriptions weren’t even available and now you have to subscribe to get basic functionality that’s free in the native and other apps, you’re taking the Michael! Who comes up with these cash milking ideas? Rip-off! 👎👇⬇️⏬🔻 And how do you stop those annoying add notifications that you’ve introduced asking for more money?? 😡 Buy Fantastical instead, at least the basic functions and widgets are available without having to subscribe. This lot wouldn’t give you air to breath unless you pay!

I don't understand why this app has a 3.8 stars it shoudl at least have a 4/5. I would give it a 4.8/5 stars. I have tried countless apps and physcial planners, this is by far the best option for me and my preferences. It's not the most visually modern or polished in its asthetics but who cares if the functionality and accesablity is not there. This app has so many features, so many ways to taylor the app exactly to your own preferences and comfort. I have not used a better calender app than this one. Who else gives you the ability to slide across mutliple weeks and select multiple events and edits them all in one selection. Who else lets you have so many choice of different views which can then be completely taylored. I have used WeekCal for what seems like a decade! Yes the pro switch was annoying but's not that expensive and you don't have to get it. The regular version is plenty fine! Yes sometimes it glitches but definitely not as much as other apps. I think people need to chill. If your life isn't so great maybe not use these reviews as a dumping ground. Please be mindful. Also again the free version is amazing and its FREE. How many other services in life are free. Like lets calm down a bit and just be practical. This app is amazing, nothing is perfect and I'm so thankful its free and available to help me stay organized in my life. Thanks WeekCal!

For people who bought this app a long time ago, will you please stop harassing us with continuous notifications to sign up to the pro version? It is very expensive for what it gives you in addition to the regular calendar. Not only that, but you’ve removed all of my custom colours in your updates, this sort of operation is inclined to drive people away from using it. I see that many people have complained of this.
NOT GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE!

Not only is this a great diary app, but the creators keep improving it with excellent, intuitive features. It can manage and display multiple diaries and has templates for recurring events, reminders, colour coding, icons and hooks up well with your contacts, birthdays and location info as well as facebook invitations and other calendar event exports. It also feeds into the native iOS calendar which is the one that displays on the default iOS daily events list. My life would be so disorganised without it!

Doesn't look right on an SE 2022
Seem to have lost the list view which shows ALL events in one long vertical list, scrollable to both past, present, & future events. It may still be there, but on an iPhone SE 2022 the top of the Views menu is not visible. Only the Day view is just about visible and clickable, but that limits what's shown to just a single day. Also, stop with the constant nagging to upgrade. If anything I'd be more inclined to buy a different app!
An edit to my review above - I've just realised you can edit which calendar views you want to see, and this includes the List view. Removing the views you're not interested in means the List view now becomes visible on the SE's screen. Also the number of nagging pop ups seems to have been reduced.

Disappointed bring back decent colours
I used to love this app I use it all the time just for basic stuff like my husbands roster but with the latest update you have taken all the decent colours an popped them into pro. Like seriously they are colours I don’t really feel we should have to pay for colours any of the other features I don’t mind paying for but colours seriously that’s a bit rich.

Has been One of the best apps until...
This is a fantastic app. I've been using it for over 10 years. I loved it it until this latest update. Now I can’t do anything in MINI MONTH view. Every time I try to swipe left or right to look view another month, the UPGRADE TO PRO window pops up. I paid for this app and the Mini Month View functionality was included in that price . I do not want to upgrade to PRO. Mini Month View was included in the price I paid for the app but now it’s only available in Pro? Why do I have to pay again for the functionality that I already paid for? So unless I pay the extortionate upgrade this app is useless. Is this mistake or deliberate? Can Admin please respond to this. This app with Mini Month View functionality was working fine until yesterday.

Used to be the best
Taking forever to fix rolling event issues. I understand that troubleshooting may take some time; however, it’s been two months and I’m paying for a feature that I can’t use.

Really fed up with this app. Bought it years ago and now it’s giving me plenty of reasons to uninstall it.
