Very useful app
I never write app reviews but am doing so here because the other reviews were so negative as to be misleading. Perhaps the app has been improved recently, but I found it superbly useful. Registration is no more arduous than for anything else, payment was swift and easy, and the English language functionality is flawless. Excellent for my short visit to Munich.

Miserable
What a palaver to buy one ticket. I’m trying to be organised by buying my ticket before my late evening arrival in Munich but it took several minutes filling in what in my opinion was unnecessary detail to get there. Then I find that the ticket I purchased - a single from Munich airport to the city centre - expires before I arrive. Thanks to a kindly ticket inspector I don’t have to repurchase.

Cannot register
Year of date of birth only 2019 is selectable.
Needs English
I selected English in settings but most of the app is still in German. Not useful for non-German speaking tourists.
Language options messed up
Old app had option for English that worked in all parts of the app. New app does not have ticket store in English. Many parts of the app are German only now.
Bring back English
The new app looks great, but on the eve of Wiesn, the English translations in the ticketshop have been removed. Not cool for people that were planning to use this app to get around Munich during Wiesn.
Moron
The other review is clearly from an American who doesn't understand public transport. Learn how things work before you start ignorantly judging them. The app works great and I have no problems with it.

Waste of time
After the last update I lost what ever credit I still have in the MVG shop. iPad version can’t be started. The management of this should be fired, together with the product management, test and verification team. Another worst I have ever seen. Where are the CEO and board who allow this to happened. If I am on the MVV system and using this nonfunctional app and can’t get a ticket I will be fined while you fat lazy people don’t even care. Shame on all of you. Joe

App unusable
After the latest update the app has become unusable. Logging into the app you need to delete it and reload from the App Store and then register again. Planning a trip gives a error message and asks you to retry which continuously fails. The interactive map is not usable. This app is definitely not recommended although it has some great ideas if they could get everything to work.
