  • Really Useful app

I tried a few Gradebook apps before I found this one, and it is by far the best for me. There are two features that would make it even better: the ability to transfer students between classes, for example at the end of semester or the end of the year (I teach 400+ students, and re-entering them at the start of every school year is ridiculously time-consuming), also the addition of a checklist-type function, that could be used to mark off homework as complete/incomplete or on time/late. I'm looking forward to the next upgrade!

  • Teachers, rejoice!

I have tested other apps meant to do similar things and TeacherPal is most definitely best of the lot. Very user-friendly, clean interface allows one to easily keep records of students, with photos (that really help you remember everyone) and straight forward access to all the data, which can be exported as a standard spreadsheet file and safely kept on the "cloud" or locally. Support has been excellent, with prompt and helpful responses from the developer, who seems to be working hard to make this app even better. What else could you want? Grab it while it's free and enjoy! (By the way, I'm in no way connected to the developer, I just love the app!)

  • Needs reports to students

I have used quite a few teacher grade book programs. I am currently using a different app but like your new version. I like the fact that I can see all the students and their marks on the one screen, something the other app is missing. I teach VET so there is no fail assignments, just not yet passing so students get reports via email every few days detailing how they have gone and what they have to fix. This is done via a comment section when entering grades on assessment then an email option. It emails a report of attendance and grades with comments to each student. Without these two features - comments for grades and email student reports, I cannot move over to your program which I would love to do.

Awesome easy to use, and a greAt resource
  • Crash and Burn!

I have spent hours adding all of the kids in my classes that cannot be copied and pasted from class to class. Everything seemed to be working great so I added all of my assessment and evaluations to the relevant classes. I entered my marks to date, yesterday and was so happy with the ease of use of this program. Today I entered all of the marks for one of my units that has just finished and now the class won't open, it just crashes the program. Now I feel like I wasted my time inputting all of the original data and don't trust the program for my other classes. I am having my teacher performance appraisal on Monday and my marks are inaccessible. I am so NOT HAPPY!! >:-(

  • Very disappointed

This app looked like it had a lot of potential, but it is full of glitches. I'm a homeroom teacher, and I can't use the same student list from one subject to another. I followed the help instructions to upload a csv, but everytime I tried, my iPad closed the app (crashed). Sent a note to the creator, but with no response.

  • Fantastic App

I am a Primary School Specialist Teacher and see around 500 students a week. This app has really helped me to keep far better track of my students learning and progress. I can keep track of behaviour, allergies, interests, attendence, gradings and get to have a photo of each student. This app has changed the way I record my student information and made my life a little easier. I am sure that it will be an even bigger help when writing reports. I highly recommend this app. What it can't do yet I am sure it will do in the future!

  • Like some changes

While the previous version was "buggy" and accessing classes by swiping was a little tedious I did like the size of the student photos. For some reason a desk is in the background of each student, thus reducing the size of photos on screen. I preferred the larger photos. Every other change I do like. The new interface is a lot like Newsstand. I use this app every lesson and at reporting time the anecdotal notes are a great memory jogger.
Yes, I am a real High school Maths teacher and no, I am not being paid for this endorsement.

  • Great!

The first thing we learn at Teacher College is to learn quickly students names. This app will make it a breeze!
Please invent an app for lesson plans! :)
Thank you for sharing your smart ;)
  • Excellent!

As a free application, I would say it's amazing. I give 5 stars because we cannot expect more than this from a free application. Furthermore, this recent updated version says they are coming up with some other functions. This new updated version has many functions already. I think it is injustice to give less than 4 stars for such free versions. But I am not sure how many students' details it can safely store. If it crashes when we store a big number, then it may give more trouble than help, especially for those who fully depend on it. I hope in near future we will have opportunity for more and still better functions. Thanks a lot.
