  • Excellent application

This is a great app for all my record-keeping - the great thing being the ability to have all my info in one place. It was easy to set up and extremely intuitive to use. The automatic calculation of weighted grades is fantastic - saves me heaps of time. My only wish would be for a proper formatted report that shows whole class results and attendance that I could print directly from the app rather than exporting to a csv file. This would be beneficial when having to complete official school reports. Overall, the app is very practical - I use it for all my classes.

  • Ok but could use some more features.

I use this often in my classroom and find it to be a useful tool. The grade system is great for letting people visualise their results and the seating plan system makes simple plans a breeze. Some more features, like the pre-set seating templates, the ability to duplicate classes and shift students to and fro other classes and general bugginess being addressed would give this a higher rating. I do appreciate the staff's constant updates and look forward to the continued polish.

  • Still improvements to make

I love the class layouts, but where pupils move to other classes I teach it would have been better to just move them rather than delete then add, I would like to be able to add classes to a timetable with notes of what I have taught each lesson, and I cannot use the grade book for all my homework as there are too few columns and I need to use A to E or G grades depending on the year group which I can't do. We have electronic registration at school anyway so I don't use the register either, but I really do love the idea of it so I hope with updates it becomes more useful to me. Every time I cannot use it for something I wanted to do I contemplate deleting it, but then I can't in case the next update makes it the planning app I have failed to find anywhere yet.

  • Excellent

This app has enhanced my classroom management. The students also enjoy seeing a teacher use it.
  • Excellent

As a HE lecturer I find this app truly amazing! As well as keeping tracks of my students ( only ever use first names as worried about data protection law UK) I create ' classrooms' for my management role as well - meetings, staff observations and the like. I'd love it if the makers could adapt this into it. I love the corridor of doors! you can even send whole class emails! Really big thing missing though is a quick lesson planning section for each class - then I can jot down my ideas on the go! I always have my most innovative ideas when no where near my work lap top- but my iPad is always with me. For this reason only I give it 4 stars. Well worth money.

  • Very useful

I am a high school English teacher, and I've been using this app for a week. Obviously, it is still fairly new to me, but I know, already, that I am going to find it really useful. The kids like having the roll marked (weird) and it's also visible that I am taking the role, hopefully decreasing truancy. It's also easy to record comments against each student's name, which should prove useful when it comes to reporting and parent/teacher night. All of the teachers who have an iPad at my school have downloaded this; in fact, they recommended it to me. I am very confident about recommending it to others in the teaching profession. (One of my Year 12 boys has downloaded the app himself and created a class of his friends because he thought my version of it looked like fun. Now, that's a good recommendation!)

  • Great app

Brilliant for seating plans and attendance, very easy to customise seating plans and mark students in or not although quite cumbersome when it comes to adding students but nothing too major. Pretty restricted when it comes to assessments, to make this more efficient it needs the feature of changing setting for each individual class. For instance my year 7 class will be working on a grade system of lv3-7 typically however my year 10 class will be working on an A B C scale. At the moment it is only possible to have one type for all classes. Thanks for a great app, with these changes I would definitely say it would be an essential for any teacher to make their job so much easier and paper free.

  • Desperately needs iCloud sync

A great app on both iPhone and iPad. It maybe a little American-centric (like most Apps on the App Store), but is easily workable for a UK teacher. Relatively simple app that holds basic attendance, grade and and behavioural notes. However there is no (all-important) print facility to archive previous lists etc. Other school departments may require information from this app but there is no easy way of getting into them!

Desperately needs iCloud sync, especially if you're using this with other iOS devices as well. Dropbox is okay but not reliable because if you upload the wrong (old) database you could overwrite information recorded by other iOS devices you may be using. This is why iCloud is so important.

  • Great

Great assistant tools allowing a more efficient way of keeping track of student progress and behaviour
  • Great App, needs some tweaking!

I do quite like this app, however I think more could be done to make it a little more user friendly. It becomes a little laborious having to continually add a student, fill in the file, save and repeat. Perhaps a spreadsheet entry with the option of adding additional notes for each pupil?

I like there is now a passcode lock however this is causing my app to crash quite frequently. Rather frustrating as I am now on my fourth attempt at completing the timetable.

The timetable itself - it would be lovely (I'm not after much here :D) if there was the option of stating how many periods a day you run off of, then fill it in, e.g. Monday Period 3 - year 1, Period 5 - year 3. Then have this repeat, so that when it comes to adding a lesson to the calendar you are not having to fill in the whole thing again.

I am aware I have asked for a lot however that is the main thing keeping it from 5 star. Considering it's free, I would definitely recommend until one comes along with all the wee bits I need.
