  • Good app, major glitch

I would give this app five stars, because it’s a very good app in most regards. However, there is one major glitch, which warrants a low star rating to alert the development team to the problem, so it may be fixed. The residency navigator section has a drop-down at the top of the screen that allows you to select a different specialty to view programs’ sizes, avg step scores, reputation, etc. However, sometimes when you go to the residency navigator section there is no drop-down at the top of the screen, just the header, “residency navigator.” As such, you’re stuck looking at the same specialty and cannot navigate to another specialty even if you want to. This has happened to me twice. The way I fixed it the first time was by deleting the application off the phone and reinstalling it. I wish I would not have to do this and the glitch was fixed

Thank you so much for alerting us to this issue -- our team is working on a fix that we expect to go live shortly. We understand that it is currently the middle of interviews, so we want MS4s to be able to rely on Residency Navigator. In the meantime, you can find everything you’re looking for at doximity.com/residency.
  • Lack of Free Discussion-Removes Comments From Medical Peers

I noticed recently that peer comments and even my own had been removed whenever the material didn’t match the article agenda. I discovered this while trying to locate a research link from a colleague’s comment. Doximity is pushing very specific agenda with incredibly opinionated (and non-scientific) articles with a pseudo appearance of encouraging medical discussion through the comment section where they freely delete opposing views.

I’m incredibly disappointed in Doximity and will not promote or purchase from them in the future. Freedom of speech is important especially among the medical specialties. I’ve never seen a medical site accept posts from NPR, NYTimes, Washington Post, etc as equivalent to medical journals or peer reviewed research.

At first I saw glimpses of their pushed agenda but now it’s so blatant - few articles are actually research now, with most articles trying to cause division in the medical field.

Don’t waste your time or money on this app.

  • Wonderful app

Update: Doximity has begun charging for Dialer calls of >40 minutes, so I have started paying for the service. I am still really happy with it.
<Disclaimer: I was invited to participate in the IPO and bought some stock. That has appreciated nicely.>
    ——————-
I am very much a fan of Doximity. I was originally mildly interested in it for connecting with old classmates, and somewhat interested in the news. But now, particularly since I’m practicing from home and exclusively online, I use it daily. I understand it is HIPAA-compliant: 1) I use Dialer to call patients. I use my own cell phone, but Dialer disguises my phone number, using my office number as the Caller ID. 2) I use another service sometimes, but many of my patient visits are using Dialer. I can place only an audio call, or can send a link to my patient’s cell phone. They click on it and we have a video call. The quality of the connection is overall good, of course often limited by the cell signal my patient is experiencing. 3) I can send and receive faxes. Just yesterday, I had to complete an FMLA form. I scanned it, saved the images, and securely faxed the images. It was quick and easy. And this is FREE!! I imagine Doximity is using and selling my data somehow, but I really have no complaint.

  • I am so frustrated

Contacted support, no help at all. I sent them a screen shot so they can see I don’t have an option. It won’t save numbers I put in either. I tap to start a new fax. I put in a phone number. Then I am on a screen with the choice to add another recipient or cancel. I can’t click anywhere to scan the document or do anything else???????? It’s too the point that the frustration of wasting my time on this makes it not just worthless but into the negative category. I have to find a solution that works and this isn’t it. I think in desperation I wasted 45 minutes today using this program.

  • Amazing product

This app provides the most user friendly HIPPA compliant two way audio visual communication I have found. With the added benefit of calling the patient from my cell phone with caller ID showing my office number. And with the phone call option I can actually walked him through the process of connecting with a video call. With the addition of the Hyppa compliant fax this product could be your all in one patient communication solution. It is user-friendly for both the provider and patient. I have found very very few patients that were unable to connect to the two way audio visual portion of this app as long as they have a smart phone or computer with a camera and microphone attached. I have also use this app to call patients after hours showing my office number, for this reason alone it is worth getting this app.

  • Best option for physicians and patients

I love ability to connect to my patients via HiPpa compliant Doxymity! It has easy, reliable interface and connection. I am using their faxing option on the run as well. They always respond to feedback and provide updates that are practical and serve physicians and patients. Doximity is good example of app that does not require patient and doctor’s training before it can be used!

  • Serves a bare purpose

Why is there no time stamp on outgoing faxes? Every fax has a date, time sent and the amount of pages delivered, which are crucial confirmation for documentation purposes. The platform reliability is mediocre at best, both through the app as well as website. I have used Doximity for years and it seems to have gotten worse, not better. Some days the service does not work at all and the faxes come in bulk a day or two later. There is no option to port the fax number out to another service, so we are stuck using it or changing our main fax number. The fax search option needs much work. I would only recommend this for occasional use, not reliable or efficient otherwise.

  • You can’t use this as a dialer if someone else in your office does

Docility got back to me and absolutely DID NOT understand the problem- so disappointed-i am not upset about caller ID- I am upset that I cannot use my practice number because Doximity only allows one person to use each unique call out number and since one of my partners uses this already, I cannot use this app! because my practice’s phone number is already in use!
    *previous review*
To clarify- I practice at a large hospital and we have a just a single outgoing number that shows for most outgoing calls. My patients recognize it and will pick it up even if they won’t answer any other incoming number. However obviously one of the many physicians in my practice already is using that number and the secondary numbers are all taken too so I can’t use this app. Very dissatisfied- I was so excited. I can’t believe I am the only physician with this problem. Docility- you need to let physicians from the same practice call out from the same number. (My patients would not recognize nor pick up calls from my direct desk line)

Thank you for reaching out. We'd like to clarify that someone else’s use of a callerID doesn’t impede your ability to use it. If you have any further questions or need clarification, please reach out to our team at support@doximity.com and they can help provide the necessary steps! Thank You.
  • First review ever

This is my first review in the App Store. I had to say something as this app really saved our business! Thank you for catering to healthcare providers especially nurse practitioners. I really appreciate all the features doximity has to offer and refer EVERY healthcare provider to this program. I appreciate that I can have a fax number and the ability to text patients to connect via video chat without installing any apps. It’s difficult to afford a paid app that has these features and doximity is destroying the competition with its capabilities! I am so grateful and please always keep these functions without a fee as I will constantly bring providers to benefit from your excellent program. God bless and thank you for this app from the bottom of my heart.

  • Doesn’t Cater to Rural Health Clinics

I downloaded the app on a recommendation from a colleague. It would be a good resource to utilize when I am on call, as some won’t answer a call from a blocked phone number. It seems that the app itself is very limited to who can use it. I work at a new rural health clinic. We are very small and do not have the luxury of a email system with a .edu / .org, etc., we also don’t have the luxury of picture IDs for our clinic...on top of that, a license verification from my Board wouldn't cover the verification process either. This app has the potential to reach and help a lot of providers, who need access to resources for clinics in impoverished areas...but right now, it doesn’t meet those standards.
