I love the broken sword games, and hope the rest will be here in App Store...

Great game! I'm enjoying it thoroughly!
  • A Great Purchase

Enjoyable gameplay and masterful storytelling. Follows the style of old classics like King's Quest.
  • Brilliant and Nostalgic!

I remember spending about £3.50 or something to rent this game from blockbuster and then spending about £30 (of my parents money) on an 0906 number which told me what to do when I got stuck!

So happy to see this on the AppStore 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
  • Great Game. Absolutely enjoyable.

If you liked it on PC you like in on an iPad.
The controlling is working great. If it crashes, make sure you have enough free space on you iPad and all other applications are closed.

If only then I may say that for any update of the game one has to download the whole 700MB again!
For us here in Australia that’s a rather expensive exercise.

  • Great characters and story.

The Broken Sword series are still best in class with Cecil"s rollicking writing and Gibbon's comic book art style combing with terrific gameplay. The characters they've created are just terrific and perhaps the best part of the game. The iOS UI works so well in this. The hint system is also a great help as I always get stuck and it's nice not to have to go out of game on my iPad to find hints on the web.

  • Terrific Game

If you played this on another platform you will find this a good port. If you haven't played before it's nothing short of a visual symphony. Great game.
  • Offensive

Maybe the game single star review is not an appropriate way to deal with this, but absent any other feedback mechanism it's going to have to do. You are the beginning of the game George is speaking with a retired police officer. When the police officer is listing the kind of awful crimes that he could help solve, he says "if he'd been a serial killer or a sodomite, I could help". Listing those has two of the crimes he could help fight.
It seems to me that by 2014 game producers could stop referring to sodomites as criminals. And because the game is in a contemporary setting, they can't even say that they were addressing terminology of "the time".
