  • Sophomore Slump

Smoking mirror has none of the puzzles and ingenuity that made the first Broken Sword so enjoyable. The mechanics are basically the same (except now you can die) and the humor is still there, but gone is the epic sense of adventure. Puzzles have been replaced with completely unintuitive, hint-heavy enigmas. Where Broken Sword 1 was like Raiders of the Lost Ark, Broken Sword 2 is like an arbitrary episode of Scooby-Doo. Skip this one and go straight to Broken Sword 5.

  • Best game I've ever played!

Can't wait for the next game!!!!!
  • Salute

Love this series. The point and click gameplay style make it perfect for the Iphone or iPad. The storytelling is very amusing and makes you feel like a detective. It's sort of like playing an actual mystery book you've been reading.
  • One of the best games I've played

This game is truly applaudable if you like adventure point and click games this has to be one of the greatest made the story is fluid and very enjoyable controls are perfect and they even have in game hints to help when you get stuck from the beautiful graphics to the accents of the characters this game is outstanding perfection 😃

  • I LOVE IT. Awesome click adventure game!

I'd have to say, this is one of my most favorite apps of all time. It's pretty long with diverse locations and scenes, so it's very worth the price. And unlike other games I've played, they don't spoon-feed what you're supposed to do next. This game is definitely not the fly-through type, which I look for in these types of games (click adventure).

I feel like this isn't as popular as it should be, which is surprising! I'm very surely going to buy Revolution's other games :)

  • Pretty fun

I love the first one, I've played it when it came out on PC 15 years ago(when it was called "Circle of Blood"), again when it came out on Wii about 5 years ago and I bought it yet a third time for iPad and the iPad version is the best.

When I saw the sequel I did not hesitate to purchase and play immediately. Much like the first one I could bring my self to stop playing, I love the characters and story and the puzzles are pretty fun. But it doesn't hold up to the first one, and it kind of fizzles out at the end of "Smoking Mirror" the end video doesn't wrap things up very well and is not that rewarding.

Still, I'm a junkie for point-click and until they release the Lucasarts original adventures "Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max Hit the Road and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis" I'll chalk this up to about a B, B+.

Thanks for the game it was a lot of fun.

  • Problem after upgrade

After the latest upgrade on an iPad the diary no longer fits the screen properly. It is unreadable. Please fix this
  • Very good

I haven't played the original game, and I very much enjoyed playing this on iPad!
Recommend to those who like playing quest and adventure games.
Good & easy to control. I personally find it easier to use the finger rather than a mouse(Quest games on PC) to search for objects on the screen - it feels more native and interactive

    Thanks!

  • Less Than Expected

I found some enjoyment in this game but ultimately this game will never live up to the original; the game had humor which mostly fell flat and some questionable and/or uninteresting puzzle design, and the story never really hooked me.

I loved the original, but this one just doesn't have its charm and fails to improve on it in any way possible.

  • Really good adventure game.

I just finished the game, well done. The controls are good and intuitive. The story is good. The puzzles are balanced and include a hint system if you get stuck. There are even some timed events that you have to react to in order to move on. Cut scenes were good.

Overall this is a big expansion of the previous game. Everything is better.
