Not for splats but good for point clouds
Downloaded this hoping to view my Gaussian splats, but it doesn't handle those (at least not currently). The developer updated the app to communicate this more clearly and I really appreciate that. It's performant for viewing point clouds (up to 200k points, with excess points thrown out if the file exceeds that). You also get detailed file information, like where the center of the cloud is, and other things I don't know how to interpret but might find useful as I learn more about working with point clouds. A feature idea: controller-style navigation (like FPS controls) perhaps with controller compatibility. Thanks for making this app, it's useful :)

Thanks for the feedback. Version 1.0 was intended as an initial point cloud viewer and currently has limited support, which is why colour and broader format handling are not fully there yet. We’re already working on expanding support and improving the rendering pipeline in future updates. We appreciate you calling this out.
No good for Gaussian splats
Only imports xyz coordinates of points, no color data. Not very useful, kind of a waste of money even at $1
