Avoid, no money to be made
I’ll be short. I’m selling service for 129, with the lowest possible discount groupon allows me(44%🥲) it comes to around 84.50. Out of this 84.50, groupon take its cut and gives me 40.14 and then charges me 6.62 as a “payment adjustment”
They send me money of $33.52
Service value is 129, I’m getting 33 dollars and a client that is not gonna come back.
If it works for you, go for it.

Not worth the headache
We used Groupon Merchant for 6 months and did a couple of simple campaigns and a couple of experience style campaigns. People that purchase it are in it for a deal or cheap date. It did bring people out to my establishment that never would have come before. However, only 1 couple has brought more people back. Overall, they don’t tip, 1/2 don’t purchase anything in top of it, and I’m still honoring purchased Groupons even after I closed the campaign. At least I get reimbursed for the expired ones. Which 1/3 are.

This app is a joke, much like Groupon at this point
The app freezes all the time, provides very limited data and support staff are all overseas so the language barrier is a real issue. You’ll spend a long time on the chat to get help and think you’ve gotten somewhere only to find out they did something completely different than the task at hand. The payment processor also has LOTS of issues. Customers are constantly having fraud issue with the bank blocking transactions, only to have them all go through after the fact, creating a ton of work to get things refunded. I had an account manager reach out to sell me on listing with Groupon and then completely disappeared. No one will honor the things he offered and as a business owner you’re literally left with about 20% of the typical sale amount… if that! In my case, that doesn’t even break even. Let it ride for a while because of the advertising but it’s pointless to break even if it also causes horrible customer service for your customers and you have to deal with a a low quality app like this to do anything.Show lessLeslieamanda1
