  • Great Learning Tool

I just started playing cribbage last week. I grabbed this game to practice and get quicker at counting. I have spent far too much time in this game since downloading it. I understand the reviews. The amount of times my best hand creates a double run in the computers crib is frustrating and it appears like the computer gets flat dealt double runs into hand 2 or 3 times as often but it doesn’t really matter. Ads only run at the end of the game and they are short, the interface is quick and clean, the hint buttons were so nice especially when I started. My only request would be to have a self counter mode that didn’t penalize me when I got the count wrong. Just as a training tool.

Hi, thanks for the review! Good news, there is already a manual counting option available that doesn't penalize for missed points. Go to the main game menu screen, select the "Options / Settings" and under the game settings you can enable manually counting. Do not enable the muggins feature unless you want to have the computer take your missed points (no penalty for missing otherwise). There is always a penalty for over scoring, but that should be more rare and hopefully a good learning tool as well so you know when you make that mistake.

An ad after each hand total rubbish

    Developer Response

We absolutely do not have a full screen ad after every hand. We have just one after the game is completely over only.
  • Too many counting errors.

Although I was feeling good winning all the time... when I started counting points in opponents hand for more practice I found out why. The opponents score was off at least 4 to 6 points less than what it should have been 3 hands in a row. This happened in more than one game. I was playing a different cribbage game but didn’t like the way it dealt hands and payed down cards, but at least it counted the points correctly. Won’t be using this game again.

  • Game fixes matches based on ad views

You can choose to believe the developers if you want, but they’re typically dishonest and actually believe what they’ve created is somehow golden and perfect in every way. Definitely major favoritism towards people who play more often. Played competitively for the season, and towards the end lost nearly 50+ times in a row. At the beginning of the season when I was playing 5 or more times a day my win percentage was above .500, and now that I’m only playing once or maybe twice a day, I lose consistently and have a win percentage below .200. This; as I’m told by other developers who create apps, is because the softwares win/loss algorithms are designed towards giving more winning hands to people who see ads more often. The ads drive up revenue for other developers, and allows the development team themselves to have a “free” play game. I’m deleting this app immediately. I’m not interested, nor do I trust anything that this development team or anyone involved in this dishonest company has to say. Hopefully you can fix the problem and don’t loose anyone else in the process.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that someone has convinced you that we are manipulating the game based on some kind of advertising metric. We absolutely do not do any such thing, and are more than willing to even let you or your developer friends review our game code to show this unequivocally. There is no "win/loss algorithm" of any kind. If you are playing in the competition matchmaking, it is expected that as you progress, you will be matched against harder opponents more often and subsequently may lose to those more often. It has absolutely nothing to do with how many games you play or ads you see.
  • Discarding into your crib

When the computer discards into your crib, it’s done AFTER the cut. This is a huge advantage and I think most would agree this is cheating. It also gets unbelievable cuts to enhance its already good hands. I’ve played a lot of cribbage in my life and I’ve never seen anyone get a 16 point, 17 point, and 18 point hand back to back to back. The computer pulled these hands to beat me in my last game. Aside from the questionable morals of the the computer, the graphics and functionality of the game are excellent.

  • Computer opponent will sometimes steal your crib points

On “Brutal” mode, the computer opponent will sometimes steal your crib points. Example: It was my deal. In my crib was a flush of four for four points. I scored the four points, but when I submitted the score, the game pegged the points for the computer opponent. I initially thought that I was just “going crazy” or not paying close enough attention or I just rushed through it and didn’t see it correctly. After the match, I hit the “Deja Vú” button to replay the game. I paid particular attention to that one hand. And sure enough it scored the points for the computer opponent, just this time it scored 2 for the computer and 2 for me. I still should have had all four. I replayed the game several times, and each time, on that deal, some, if not all, of my crib points went to to computer opponent. I have played different matches since then. While it doesn’t happen every match, it happens often enough to make this game infuriating, especially on close matches where those points were the difference between a win and a loss. And, there is not way to “mug” the points back to you or to correct the score.

Hi, the reason the 4 points is awarded to your opponent for a 4 card flush in the crib, is that per the rules that doesn't count when in the crib. This is the first item in our FAQ here: http://www.cribbagepro.net/faq-how-to.html#q1 Any variance in that scoring is because of the cut card being different (Deja Vu feature doesn't force you to select the exact same cut card). In any case, if anyone ever sees something that looks scored incorrectly, please take a screenshot and send it to us for review at support@FullerSystems.com

I like the game, but I see the computer kicking in high gear now and then, spitting out 17 hands and crib scores of 12+. That's while I'm piecing together a 7 point hand and hoping I don't get walked all over while playing the hand. Been playing for quite a few years and rarely see this happen, but I sure have fun with it. Seems a little more equal than before. The game has improved. I enjoy playing:)

  • Fix needed for multiplayer mode

This is a fairly good game. The biggest problem with it is that in the mutiplayer mode, there is no way to see the last (winning hand). The game just pops up a notice that you have won. This does not happen when playing in single player mode.

This has been communicated to the developers, with no attention given to fixing it. It is unhelpful when people are learning and for those with experience, it is hugely annoying. PLEASE correct this huge flaw and you will have a much better product.

This game is awesome for those who like to play. It calculates the score automatically, which I often like to check so that I don’t lose my scoring skills.
My only complaint is that when playing, there are often times when I don’t get credit for a GO or a LAST CARD, but the computer always does. 🤷🏻‍♀️
    Otherwise I highly recommend.

  • Ridiculous!!

What sort of ‘game’ is it when my electronic opponent plays me FOUR GAMES AND HIS PRIMARY HANDS ARE NEVER…. REPEAT AFTER 31 HANDS… ARE NEVER LESS THAN 12 points!!
That is ridiculous!!! That included 4x24 points 8x16-20 and 12x12-16. The boxes were smaller and the program waits until YOU put 2 into the box before it does!!

Hi, as we have shown extensively, the game is fair and honest in every respect and it is using a true random shuffle and never stacking the deck or anything else like that. We have even offered to let anyone view the code itself to show this unequivocally. The order of play with discarding is simply a matter of the animation sequence and the computer has already selected what it will discard even though it is animated after you select your discards from a user interface perspective. The game is intended for entertainment, and so if the difficulty level you are currently playing at is not entertaining, consider the lower difficulty levels or playing against other real human players in the online multiplayer.
