  • Premium protection for pennies

    I’ve used IDrive for years, ever since I converted from carbon something. I like having one account that can handle all of my data across multiple devices. iOS, Windows both supported in the same app. Ease of use, reliability of data and security all unequalled in the market. I refer everyone to this service with confidence that they will be protected and well pleased.

  • NO INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED

    First not only this app, but mostly all apps don’t have instructions. I don’t know if I am backing up daily or what’s backed up. I am not of the technical know how group. I am of 50’s something group. I followed the on screen prompts and let it be. I would like to have a tutorial for how to backup the device and what’s being backed up, ie: pictures how many, contacts how many etc. I don’t know if it’s on auto backup or not? When I scroll passed the app I see a number on the corner like the email notification but don’t know what that means? So just try to think about the older generation that might be trying to use your app.

  • Awesome, Easy & Inexpensive Storage for all of my mobile devices!

    I really, really like this app. It is easy to use and helps keep my picture/videos manageable on all of my phones. I can access all pic or video from any computer and save them to the hard drive or upload them to facebook or twitter. I recommend upgrading to the unlimited storage for mobile devices. Well worth the money spent.

  • IDrive online is the best

    I purchased iDrive online, and I am amazed at everything it does, and the amount of storage that it provides. The price is so reasonable.
    I’m still learning all I can while backing up all my photos, videos, audio files, contacts etc.
    It’s a great storage app.

    Fantastic, this is worth the money and the space is beyond belief. Instead of deleting stuff, when in need make another folder and label it “way past not needed”. Or something like that and just park it away and keep adding folders in there.
    Easy to set up and start saving. Link everything up to it and your good. I have mine and the wife’s computers and phones.
    I’d give it a 5 star, the only reason I haven’t is, I haven’t had to call them for the back up because of the computers crashing…… if it does and it works….5 stars👍👍👍. Im hoping that doesn’t happen. 🙏

  • Core functionality good, support solid, UI a bit clunky

    Ultimately, this app works. It’s really helpful to back up my photos and videos at full resolution to a cloud service that I already pay for to back up my computer.

    My experience with iDrive’s customer support has been excellent. When I first installed the app, the Sync function would constantly log me out of my account. The support team was responsive and fixed an issue with my account that was affecting how the app worked.

    The user interface is a bit dated and unintuitive, but it’s not a huge deal given that you only really need to set up the app once.

  • Untrustworthy Company

    I’ve had iDrive for close to 10 years now and have been satisfied with the app and service the company provides. However, one month my computer decided to create nearly a Terabyte of temporary files in a “temporary” folder. The data was synched to the iDrive cloud and they hit me with $1,500 in additional costs. They refunded nearly $400 of my money but refuses to give me the remaining $1,100 even after they realized it was just temporary files. DO NOT do business with this company. Needless to say I will be dropping them for a different company who will not gouge my pockets.

  • App Crashes When Backing Up and is Slow

    First off, the service itself is affordable for first timers and the desktop app is reliable.
    However, the iPhone app is buggy and unreliable.
    Already backup images disappear and trying to view or restore photos is unusable. It freezes and many times crashes.

    By now, after 6 months of subscription I would have expected the issues would have been sorted out, but no.

  • A major complaint

    Every time I open the App -every single time- it starts counting how many files I haven’t backed up. If I quit and reopen it starts again. And again. To make things worse, animations are horrible.
    This is so annoying that makes the App unusable for me.
    I contacted support and there is no way to disable the function, it’s there by design. Well no. This kind of spam behavior would be understandable if it was a freeware, which is not.
    Another let down is the general look of the App which is not attractive at all. UI is not that intuitive too.

    On the plus side, pricing is good, as is the idea to have separate functions of back up & sync.
    Though I wouldn’t mind to pay more and have a decent overhaul of the UI, making it faster, more intuitive and visually pleasant.
    But please, fix that horrible design decision to count every time the un-backed up files. Or give us a choice to disable it at least.

  • Unethical Business Practices

    Be warned this company will bill you a lot if you go over data limits. I had a bill of over $300 for one month. In my case, I thought I had cancelled my subscription had I hadn’t. I had removed all software except I forgot on my old computer that I just use for my kids zoom calls. For some reason that computer kept adding more to the cloud even though I hadn’t put any new software on it in over a year.

    I contacted them and they offered me a 20 % discount. Im taking it, but feel that I have been completely taken advantage of. I HATE companies like this.
