Very basic app, almost useless
It's very basic with almost no flexibility.
A simple spreadsheet will be a much better option.SAleks
Great App - best I have seen
Most retirement apps are linked to a financial service, and doesn't show you the details, or let you customize to see your own picture. Before this app I built my own spreadsheet, but it was tedious to build scenarios, This latest update lets you store multiple scenarios. As I get closer to retirement it gives me the views that I need to plan timing, savings, and alternatives (retire earlier and work parttime? Not work parttime? Takes SSI early or later?). Better helped me to understand impacts. If you are retiring in the next 50 years, I recommend it - if you are retiring in the next 10 years, it is a must. RetirePlan is an excellent app which allows you to plan your retirement with incomes from multiple sources. It is very detailed and with a bit of imagination, you can tailor to your country of origin. Australians have a comprehensive super scheme and this app with rental returns from investments, input as a pension can give you a detailed annual income after retirement.Show lesskohkoh42

Excellent App
Best retirement calculator app that I could find, and it's free! …. This app allows for all kinds of customization, is accurate in its calculations, is very easy to use, and as a bonus, is beautiful eye candy. It's apparent that the developer was very clever in designing the app and then took the time to perfect and polish her work. With retirement, I want clarity and the ability to easily try different scenarios, and I found neither clarity nor ease of use in even the best-rated online calculators. All the developers at Fidelity, for instance, could benefit from studying this app, and if I'd known how good this app is, I'd have paid serious money for it. Congrats to Katherine Phillip! Great planner
Great app to have some fun (or not) when planning for retirement. I used to do this in excel using the Fv formulae, but this is way more advanced allowing you to take into account anticipated future expenditure and various scenarios including adjusting the expected rate of return etc.£Bill
