  • Is this app supposed to be a joke?

    The app has to be the lamest excuse for an airline app in existence (and I’ve used many). It never notified me of continuing delays on a flight. (TAP sent emails…seriously??). The delay in the first leg of the journey caused me to just miss my connecting flight (I waved to the pilot in the cockpit), and TAP assigned me to another flight many hours later. Never, over the course of almost eight additional hours, did the app give me an updated boarding pass, neither one that I could add to Apple Wallet, nor one that could be viewed or accessed within the app. And never, upon flight reassignment, did my new seat assignment appear in the app, nor in my account in a web browser, either. (Spent 1.5 hours in line just to find my seat.) As gates were assigned, and then changed, for both legs of the journey, those assignments and changes never appeared in the app, nor were boarding passes updated. I don’t understand how this could be considered a working app. Does virtually nothing it should do.

  • Can’t believe an app can be this bad

    Actually I can’t rate the app itself since I am unable to register and log in even though we are booked to fly from Boston to Lisbon in a few weeks. When entering birthdate I learned that you have to input your birth year first in order for the month wheel to go past August. But it won’t send me an email so I can confirm my identity. I’m stuck and give up.

  • New to TAP

    I’m new to this airline but not the industry. I’m a flight attendant and this is my first time flying on you. The only thing I wish that the app would have is the availability seats to us non-revving employees but thank you so much for allowing me to fly on your airline.

  • Stranded Wrong Airport No Help

    Our flight on TAP #203 from Lisbon to Newark, NJ was rerouted and landed at Boson Logan airport at midnight. We need to get home to NJ after really a nice family vacation in Europe. Supposedly there was bad weather and the pilot felt it was not safe to land at Newark so he dropped us off at Boston. It is now after midnight. No rental cars were available. TAP said maybe we could wait for a hotel room and they would fly us out the next day maybe with no details. Our family could not take this unknown delay and risks to our work schedule. So, after unfortunately finding no rental car availability we booked a Grayhound bus to NYC.
    The inconvenience is untimely, unexpected and difficult for me being so tired flying first from Rome to Lisbon and then Lisbon to Newark that ended up landing at Logan airport, Boston. I will ask for my travel expenses back to NJ but in the middle of the night our family feels extremely stressed. The flight should have landed at Newark and now we are going through a travel nightmare due unfortunately to TAP’s pilots decision not to land the plane at Newark. No way to contact TAP either.

  • Absolutely terrible

    Do not download this joke of an app or fly this airline all together. So many bugs in the app that it is constantly slow and not user friendly. When I got to the airport front desk they wouldn’t allow me to get the boarding pass and the app said check-in expired when I showed up 2 hours before checking in. As it turned out the plane was delayed by four hours and the app didn’t bother to notify me the plane would be delayed until hours later by that time I had no choice but to book another flight without getting refunded. Customer service line is also terrible and utterly useless.

  • This a terrible app

    This app is very slow, crashes constantly, and is unintuitive. Worse, I’ve had to delete it from my device, reboot my device, and reinstall it four times over the course of the last week just to get it work.

    While much or all of the criticism of the airline is valid (I am VERY unlikely to fly TAP again, despite my Star Alliance status) this is the single worst travel app I’ve ever even dreamed of. I can’t wait until I have a paper boarding pass and can delete it again, this time for good.

  • Porto and Lisboa

    I loved Portugal and I missed the food from there. This Airline is wonderful the service is great the Airplane is comfortable the flight attendant are the best. I which I can use TAP again on my next trip to Spain.
  • Worst Airline app out there

    It has to be the worst app out there among all airlines I’ve seen! Login issues, stuck on loading things up, nonsensical errors, slow as molasses - it’s also not a real app, but a front end for the website mostly. Since the website is BAD too, there’s not much to expect here. For the nickel and dime approach by TAP, nothing out of the ordinary.

  • I fly other airlines to avoid using this app

    I rarely take the time to review an app. Most apps are just fine. TAP’s manages to be truly unique in its awfulness.

    How did they manage to build something this bad? Aren’t airline apps essentially a commodity at this point? Couldn’t they just pay any other airline to lease their app?

    Check in never works. It never remembers anything. Getting the boarding pass to Apple wallet fails every time. I would love to fly any other airline simply because their app works.

  • This app is a nightmare!

    Totally inefficient. It is a difficult app to use and does not allow you to verify all the information necessary for the customer. Making a reservation requires great skill. It is often necessary to start a booking from scratch several times. Not all booked flights can be traced. It's a real nightmare! It's difficult to even send feedback!!!
