New to TAP
I’m new to this airline but not the industry. I’m a flight attendant and this is my first time flying on you. The only thing I wish that the app would have is the availability seats to us non-revving employees but thank you so much for allowing me to fly on your airline.

Great flight but boarding is an issue
We just flew from Toronto to Lisbon and back and had great flights with excellent service. I would absolutely recommend TAP. My issues were with boarding at both locations. The early boarding in Toronto was completely backwards. They obviously let people who needed help and who had small children board first. Great! The problem was who boarded next - people with no carry-on luggage. That would seem to make sense as they should just go to their seat and sit down. That was not the case. They let anybody on who didn’t have a carry on sized suitcase. They let so many people on who had huge back packs and duffle bags that would be impossible to store under a seat. Many passengers were getting quite upset watching people board with luggage while they had to wait. In Lisbon, this wasn’t the issue. For starters, we had to show our passports 5 times and that didn’t even get us onto the plane. Our boarding gate was roped off and we had to wait in a long line just to get to the waiting area. That would not have been an issue if there was somewhere to sit, but there was only enough seats for maybe 1/4 of the passengers and we had to stand for over an hour waiting to board. Next, we had to board a bus to get to the plane and again they let people needing assistance and those with small children on first which is great. The problem was that once the first bus left, the next didn’t arrive for quite some time and people had to line up in a stair well except there was also an escalator and the order of people got all mixed up and the people who tried follow the boarding instructions and stay in line were the last to board. All that said, I really enjoyed flying on TAP, just be sure to be patient at boarding. They need to fix those issues.

Stranded Wrong Airport No Help
Our flight on TAP #203 from Lisbon to Newark, NJ was rerouted and landed at Boson Logan airport at midnight. We need to get home to NJ after really a nice family vacation in Europe. Supposedly there was bad weather and the pilot felt it was not safe to land at Newark so he dropped us off at Boston. It is now after midnight. No rental cars were available. TAP said maybe we could wait for a hotel room and they would fly us out the next day maybe with no details. Our family could not take this unknown delay and risks to our work schedule. So, after unfortunately finding no rental car availability we booked a Grayhound bus to NYC.
The inconvenience is untimely, unexpected and difficult for me being so tired flying first from Rome to Lisbon and then Lisbon to Newark that ended up landing at Logan airport, Boston. I will ask for my travel expenses back to NJ but in the middle of the night our family feels extremely stressed. The flight should have landed at Newark and now we are going through a travel nightmare due unfortunately to TAP’s pilots decision not to land the plane at Newark. No way to contact TAP either.

Saved by the excellent staff - But lousy app
if TAP was a dog it should be put down - this airline has a lamentable record during lockdown. It refused to repay cancel flights, customer service is pretty poor it is only excelled by the excellent air crew. this new app is three days old took a very long time for it to be updated from the very poor previous reviews. It didn’t work sadly again this app does not work. I wish somebody in TAP would get a grip on customer service, it is frustrating time wasting and gives a very poor impression of Portugal, I would like the executives who make poor decisions who are paid very well on this state Portuguese taxpayers handout airline would take a bath - if they could even run one -
One knows the Air France is circling to buy this airline to reduce competition. Frankly, Ryanair Would and should do a better job at running an airline - it would just mean that passengers wait customers paying money would get a decent service.

Absolutely terrible
Do not download this joke of an app or fly this airline all together. So many bugs in the app that it is constantly slow and not user friendly. When I got to the airport front desk they wouldn’t allow me to get the boarding pass and the app said check-in expired when I showed up 2 hours before checking in. As it turned out the plane was delayed by four hours and the app didn’t bother to notify me the plane would be delayed until hours later by that time I had no choice but to book another flight without getting refunded. Customer service line is also terrible and utterly useless.

This a terrible app
This app is very slow, crashes constantly, and is unintuitive. Worse, I’ve had to delete it from my device, reboot my device, and reinstall it four times over the course of the last week just to get it work.
While much or all of the criticism of the airline is valid (I am VERY unlikely to fly TAP again, despite my Star Alliance status) this is the single worst travel app I’ve ever even dreamed of. I can’t wait until I have a paper boarding pass and can delete it again, this time for good.

Hit and miss
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. One minute you add the booking info and you get your details, another minute the info is gone. No point in having an account, you can rarely access it. Do they have testers? If so, do they ever fix errors?
Porto and Lisboa
I loved Portugal and I missed the food from there. This Airline is wonderful the service is great the Airplane is comfortable the flight attendant are the best. I which I can use TAP again on my next trip to Spain.
Worst Airline app out there
It has to be the worst app out there among all airlines I’ve seen! Login issues, stuck on loading things up, nonsensical errors, slow as molasses - it’s also not a real app, but a front end for the website mostly. Since the website is BAD too, there’s not much to expect here. For the nickel and dime approach by TAP, nothing out of the ordinary.
