App is terrible

This app will not let me log into any of my accounts in fact has locked me out and doesn’t even say how I can resolve the issue. However, when I log into my accounts via Safari, there isn’t an issue. It also apparently has the Touch ID feature which doesn’t work— it’ll tell you to go to the “settings” menu to enable it for the app but when you go find the the app’s own section under “settings” there isn’t an option to enable or disable this. This is such a inconvenience especially since it’s supposed to be a shortcut of the Safari log-in version which has is no online deposit feature at all. Please fix this.

Mobile deposit never works

I have tried mobile deposit under every lighting source, angle, focus possible and mobile deposit never works. Other bank apps have reliable mobile deposit but Mission federal does not put enough into making sure their app works. Worthless download, I have to take time off work to go to the bank and manually deposit if I want to deposit my checks on a weekday. Horrible app, been a terrible experience for years on end. I keep trying to make it work hoping they’ll update and actually improve the mobile banking function- useless

Mostly unusable

Transaction history does not work for me, it *always* says "no recent transactions" which is never true. I have to sign into my account in the browser to see my transaction history, which defeats the point of having an app. Getting frustrated because I thought there might be an update at some point and it would be fixed, but it's been months now. I only keep this app because at least it will show my balance, even if I can't see my transactions, and mobile deposit works, although it always says "error" for the date. I don't understand why this app is so broken. :[

Where's the Pending?...

So at first after I did the latest update I was pleased to see we could use the thumb print security feature. Being able to see a graph of my spending was great. Everything was smooth sailing until I deposited a paycheck using the updated system. Anything over 500 gets held when using mobile deposit. The difference now is the held amount is nowhere to be found. Nothing in pending. Nothing to hint when said pending amount will be deposited into checking. Like every month for the past year I paid my rent using PayPal (connected to my bank) again the PayPal payment was nowhere to be seen in pending. I checked my account last night before bed and had a few hundred dollars, I woke up this morning to find a 0.00 balance in my checking and $12 pulled from my savings. Thinking I got hacked I called the 800 number and got the run around about my pending PayPal transaction cleared before my remaining pending paycheck balance. If I was able to see what was in my pending and when said pending would clear, this would not have happened.
Bring back our pending!

Crashed during mobile deposit

This app has never been much, but if all you wanted to do was check your balance and deposit a check, it worked. But now it crashes every time I try to make a deposit, so MFCU suggested I delete the app and reinstall. This “solution” didn’t help the last time, so getting this advice again suggests this app is not getting upgraded/updated or properly serviced. Please join me in telling MFCU they need to find someone else to build a better app.

Update: I got a new phone and the app still crashes during uploading of check images. There is really no point to this app.

Not That Great

I see that I'm not alone with the Mobile Deposit issue. Every time I try to take the picture after lining it up correctly it then bails and goes to the main menu. Ugh! I don't understand, this is for a major credit union in the 2nd largest city in California and it's not working. My brother who lives in a backwater town in Michigan can use the app as his little bank without any problems. Come on MFCU, you can do better than that. Or perhaps you're not interested in what Customers say...

Great for simple usage

This app is very simple to use and provides your basic everyday needs that most other banking apps provide: checking balances on accounts, transferring funds between accounts and mobile deposit. I love the simple layout and easy functionality of the app. My one "wish list" item for the app would be to access bill pay right from the app instead of having to open my phone's browser to access it. Other than that, it's a reliable app that takes care of your most basic banking needs.

Awesome App

I've never been a fan of banking, nor the Internet in general. I still wish I could just delete all my social networking profiles and be done with things, however I cannot.

But I will say this, without this bank, I don't think I would've been online as often. I love how this app works, simplicity has always been the best policy, and since I travel a lot from Los Angeles, to Seattle and back to national city, I can easily say that this app has been with me through thick and thin.

Now with the new "check deposit" feature, this will simplify my need to travel from any of the stated locations back to mission federal just for a deposit.

Long story short, THANK YOU for the hard work added into your business.

Mobile deposit is a great idea, but a bad implementation

This app has been buggy since I installed it soon after it was released. The ATM locator has never worked properly and it crashes quite frequently. The new release has mobile deposit capability, but I definitely recommend avoiding that unless it's absolutely necessary. I tried it for the first time yesterday and it took an hour or two for the deposit to show up, whereas making a deposit at an ATM or branch posts immediately. I tried it for the second time later that day and the check was rejected because one of the top corners didn't show up in the picture. Unfortunately, it took a minute before the app notified me that the check had been rejected and I had already marked it as deposited so as to avoid having someone accidentally redeposit the check. I tried the mobile deposit again and it was accepted. Today, the deposit still hadn't posted so I went in to a branch and, after several minutes, they found out that the deposit had been rejected because I had written on the check to note that it was being deposited through the mobile app. Nobody at MFCU could do anything about it. I was told that I needed to have the issuer send me a new check. This is a rare customer service failure on the part of Mission Fed. I will not be using the mobile deposit app anymore.
