LOVE the content but not app functionality ‘updates’
I have had this app for years and love it. However over the past year or so they have changed the functionality so it is much harder to use. You used to be able to scroll day/days back and forward from ‘today’ and now if you try to view another day, you’re taken to the entire list starting on Jan 1, so you have to endlessly scroll to find the date you’re looking for. I submitted this issue and was told sorry, there is no way to get the old functionality. Additionally I very recently changed my notification time of day, but then received no notifications. I submitted it as an issue and was told they’re working on it but months later it is still not resolved. Very sad ~ I wish there was another app to get this quality content without all the so-called enhancements.Show lessSad user in tx

This is a devotional I have been reading for 7+ years now and every year it still seems to amaze me the way God speaks through this and every year on the same day from the year before I always get something new after living and learning another year. I highly recommend this app to anyone that needs a great devotional to start your day with! I personally love it! Thank you “Sarah Young” (the author) for writing this. From one in need.
I have read the 40 days of purpose and I recommend it to everyone. It’s a physical workbook for us daily. Then, I was blessed to come across this app. I am thankful to God that he reminds me daily of ways I can walk with him. It reminds me to not take myself or others in this world so seriously. Turning the other cheek takes practice. Being brave and bold enough to share the simplicity of Jesus’ love can be difficult in this world. An Anointed Work
This work must truly be anointed because almost every day that I read it, it speaks as the voice of God to my heart, blessing me with my daily bread. Daily it has given me assurance, confirmation, comfort, guidance, strength, and the list continues. Whether or not I am in a season for deep theological study, I can count on it to connect me to my Heavenly Father. My deepest gratitude to the author for obediently completing the work as I am sure it is having a major impact on many lives in the same way it is impacting mine. Great book.. It should not have been removed from Apple Books & should have been left as a free download… no charge to read & keep the whole thing..

TIME WELL SPENT
I have been using Jesus Calling as my morning devotional for many years. I used to be able to share it with friends in need of a Word in due season, however, the App has been revised and I can no longer share. I used the audio portion of the App while it was available and loved it; however, I didn't want to pay for the App again just to get the audio portion. Overall, Jesus Calling is an amazing way to jump start your day with the Lord before the hectic pace of the world calls your name.Show lessMokey Fraggle

Jesus Calling, a gift from a friend, has been an integral part of my life daily for the past 11 1/2 years. Each of my days in these past years have begun with these powerful, caring, and pointed devotions. I can feel and hear Jesus speaking directly to me. Jesus Calling has brought me back to the strong awareness of the constant loving arms of Christ and His holding my right hand. The rebirth of peace, calmness, faith, hope, and this strong, constant connection with Jesus has truly eliminated much of my life’s worries and anxieties and brought me to a much better place in my life. Jesus Calling App
Jesus calling by Sarah Young got me and my family through my father’s diagnosis of a glioblastoma multi form stage 4.
Surgery left him paralyzed on his left side - he went through rehab and passed on 2 months after his diagnosis. Many times we would read it to him and he would say , “read that again, will you babe?”
Jesus Calling is now a part of our daily living!
I share this little gem with all of my friends who are going through any struggle!

The Jesus Calling devotional reading is the way I start my quite time everyday. Even though I have been reading it for years, more times than not it speaks to the specific circumstances I am dealing with that morning. It is clearly the most insightful daily devotional I have ever read. It takes scripture and gives you a true life application view. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is on a journey to know God or to know him better.
