  • Wonderful!! Definitely recommend

I use this app a lot and I love it, it’s a judgement free place to talk about any problem/issue/ concern and get advice and peoples opinions. TalkLife has saved my life and has definitely saved me some from questionable decisions. Definitely worth downloading it’s always there when ya need it.
  • Trash

Don't download it, it'll ban you after you make a harmless post because some snowflake doesn't get the joke. If someone asks a question and you answer with truth, they'll ban you! Nobody likes the truth on this app apparently, so I suggest you use VENT instead of this trash app.
  • Wouldn’t recommended this to my worst enemy Problem with bullies

I would never recommend this up to anybody seeking mental health help, there are better apps out there that genuinely care if you want to get better this app promotes so much hate and so much bullying I would never let me repeat that I would never recommend this to anybody who is suffering with mental health unless you want more mental health issues not only do they have a problem with bullying they also have a problem with paedophiles and other gross acts happening on this app and they don’t do anything about it and they have known about this stuff for years and instead of pulling down bullying type posts or post that promote violence they will stick up for them and that’s awful.

Try the better health app. This app will send you to a hospital or worse.

  • great venting app

i’ve been a user for 4 years now and talk life has been one of the only apps that’s actually been a good mental health app. you don’t even have to have a mental illness or anything to get this app. u can just come and vent about absolutely anything and just say your story, whatever happened in your day, etc. as someone who has anxiety and depression, this app makes me feel less alone at my worst moments and i can just get things off my chest when i post something. it’s like a personal journal you keep. you can talk to others as well and some people really do help when they reach out to you or just relate to the same stuff as you. either way, for whatever reason you’re considering getting this app, i strongly recommend getting it!!

  • One of a kind… not perfect but what is?

I have been using TalkLife for almost a decade as a way to reach out to young people in adverse and challenging situations and I really do firmly believe the TL team has it figured out… to the extent anyone can of course. It is an easy to use chat app that has nearly all the features of similar apps in the space but they really do put their money where their mouths are. There is an active admin team as well as a growing number of volunteer moderators and “Buddies”. Are there problems? For sure. It’s an online chat app. There are trolls and there are conversations happening that could be triggering to others. There could be better documentation about what all the features are. For instance, you can’t direct message anyone until you make at least 3 posts. Or is it 5? I can’t remember. Anyway, having interstitial guides or some features to show what features are available would definitely help some folks. Especially those who dive in quickly looking for someone to talk to and find themselves up against a wall. The fact of the matter is that the TalkLife team are trying and in 8 years I have not seen any changes that tell me that they have lost their focus. Oh, on moderation, there are a lot of complaints about post removal and banning of accounts. Very few members have had posts deleted or accounts banned for “no reason” and they know it. Full disclosure: I do support TalkLife financially as well.

  • Need iPad Version + Fixes

Everyone knows typing on a phone is unreliable, to many things against a person (typing fast on a small screen, auto-correct giving you the wrong word 99% of the time, typing mistakes, etc) so giving users a way to use this app when on their ipad gives them a new experience using the app. One where you can actually use a full sized keyboard attached to your ipad in landscape mode. It leads to better flow of thoughts, less errors, and a smoother experience. We need this!

  • Definitely Recommend!!

I was just looking for a new app to get on and I found this one! It is such an awesome game! It's so easy to sign in to the app! People are so nice on here! You can select things that you like and meet people with the same interests! You can communicate with people in groups and even privately! Overall this has been a great app! Definitely recommend! I don't think that there's anything that needs to be fixed! And the best part? There are ZERO adds!!! Awesome game!!👍🏼♥️

  • I have an honest review

This app is no different than religion, if you need it, if it helps you through the days, if it serves you well, then go for it. I see people posting everything from I need help, to dry begging for a date. I don’t get in direct messaging. I literally only have the app, to vent.. I sincerely believe if you’re going to do yourself harm, you’re not going to get online and say it, over and over.. I’ve had people really close, take their own lives, and in each case, they didn’t announce it, we were in shock, we asked, why, when you ask why, it’s because you don’t expect it, or need an explanation for the reason the deceased DIDNT say something. Like I said if it helps, awesome. The other day an apple screen popped up, warning that this may be an imposter app, trying to get my information, so I removed the app, waited a day, now I’m going to download it, and see if I get that pop up again.

  • Lags while texting but is amazing

I have already made some amazing friends on here who have been so helpful. It’s such a lovely app and I feel so much better for helping people on it.
I’m saying this there are the occasional people that are looking for love and who are scammers but I rarely come across those just be careful!
I also find the texting to be very laggy at times which can be frustrating when you don’t want to message them on anything else.
Please fix this, maybe allow us to send videos and voice notes over texting please
    Other than that AMAZING!!

  • Confused

I just confused about what can and can’t be talked about. Why is it okay to talk about self harm and what they do and not an eating disorder? I have had one for a good many years and have survived it so far. I don’t see much of a difference. You could just put a trigger shield on it like you do the others. Are we just afraid of the terminology? Does it have that much of a Stigma?Other than that I think your app is great.
