Prejudiced App, with One Critical Flaw.
TalkLife is an app that has been shown to be a great tool for bringing together many different people across varied demographics. The anti-bullying rule seems like a good idea from the surface, although it has one absolutely critical flaw: it allows a safe space for everyone, while turning a blind eye towards straight white men in DIRE need of a safe space where solidarity within their own identity is accepted and self worth is encouraged within a world where they have been led to believe that they are the definition of evil at birth. If you try looking up “straight white men” on the app, you will find that the vast majority of posts involve men who are seeking help ending up bullied and without respite. This does absolutely nothing other than further harm and destroy the minds of these men, driving them further and further into isolation, underhandedly contributing to acts of mass violence portrayed by straight white men, perpetuating the cycle. Love Love Love
I’ve had this app for maybe two hours now, and I love it! Everyone is so helpful, and they’re real people. I don’t mind the apps that have automated people, but this app has almost a social media platform but it’s for people that need help And can help others. If you don’t feel like you’re having a good day, post it just to do it. It’s an app where you’re supposed to be open, because the other people that are downloading the app are downloading for the same reason. So there’s love all around ❤️😇🥰Show lessLillianKorte
The app was ok
There was cyber bullying and it did not gave me a good experience. I have learned that people may experience the same thing, but the other could be really toxic and think that what they had said is okay. I was told that I’m not allowed to post and complain, even though I was venting and overwhelmed. They had jumped to conclusions that I didn’t do anything about my situation and instead complain about it, even though I have been doing something and just wanted to vent. I understand that anywhere, there are gonna be like that, but I don’t think they get the point of this app. I thought it was meant to support each other not tear each other down. I may have been immature also in my part. I was only trying to make them see the bigger picture. And the more she provoked me the more irritated I got. Remove the ads
Talk life is helping a lot but the devs need to remove the ads for games and stuff that no ones actrally gonna buy so devs plzzzz remove the ads you lose people by putting ads on your app and it’s allways constent adsWhitehall gaming
Help so much
This app is perfect for venting and getting the help that is needed. The first time I posted something on here people came in and wanted to talk with me within seconds of posting. I’m not sure how I can go through life without someone actually taking their time and giving positive feedbacks. Ads are annoying
I get you need to get your money from somewhere, but the pop up ads are really distracting. Its a mental health app, and if anyones having a problem, these full screen ads are preventing them from doing what the app was meant for. That, and theres a casino ad i keep getting that takes up my whole screen, and I can’t exit out of it. Besides that the app is great, just need to fix the ad problem. okay but needs some fixes
I love this app. I am a patron. BUT the only people this app is advertised to is Americans and Pakistan’s. And that’s okay but I think it needs more diversity. Something that’s very difficult is when your a female and you have so many guys messaging you every day with sexual and disturbing messages. I would not let my child or anyone I know use this app unless they are good at communicating. Men on this app commonly are sexual and commonly are rude.
