As an employee, this app is horrible
I’ve had to block their email and phone number because of the outrageous amount of emails they send. They send 5+ reminders for one shift to your email, phone number, and notifications even if you have notifications on and there’s absolutely 0 options or ability to
Opt out so I have had to block them. Unacceptable lack of options and flexibility for employees, 1/5 stars. Also they don’t support the creation of ABA payment files so it doesn’t work as an all in one solution for employers, needing to export the hours and shift inform ration to another app like xero.

Deputy not working on my phone
I recently bought a new phone and when I try to set up Deputy on my phone it gives me an error saying unable to route request.
It worked on my old phone, but when I try to set it up again it won’t work. Very frustrating because the app is really useful when it works.

I use this system for my officers past couple of days. I’ve had nothing but glitches between the phone app in the computer version not sharing with each other. Great system if the bugs we’ll get it worked out.
One Problem
The app overall is great. However, it’s need a notification frequency feature. A delivery service I I signed up for uses Deputy. Each time a shift become available, Deputy sends a notification — which is great until you receive 10 different push app notifications and emails within 5 minutes of each other. You can turn off the notifications via Apple app settings, but I would advise signing up with a email account specifically for the Deputy.

App facilitates wage theft
This app is heavily skewed to favour the employer and frankly it is disgusting. I worked overtime last week which the app didn’t count. It just cut off my time sheet at the time I was rostered to finish. It didn’t make any mention of the fact that it wouldn’t be counting this time. This also means that if you arrive at work a little late and stay back a little late to make up for it, the app only shows that you arrived late and subtracts that period from your time worked. Furthermore, the app won’t allow you to end your break even a single minute early meaning you often just start working regardless and forget to end your break on the app. This time is then subtracted from your time worked. It looks like they’ve been buying positive reviews based on a few of the recent ones on here, too. That’s pretty dodgy.

Part of this relies on your employer setting up Deputy to help run their business the way they expect it to be run. Your review reads as if your employer has not set up Deputy appropriately, so I encourage you to speak with them. Finally, we do not buy any reviews of our product.

Great so far but would be amazing to include a feature/option to attach a map or locations for different stores within whatever company is using deputy.
Our company has about 80+ stores and can be messy when employees offer up their shifts without including an option to attach address and see it on a map.
Would help tremendously in organizing employees picking up offered shifts.

And here I am able to clock in and clock out. Your location is almost accurate. I’m happy with it. We can communicate with our co workers and managers

I love this app but why is it hard to find it on the App Store
Whenever I search it up it’s not there I always have to find it through safari
App is okay but can steal ur money
The app is overal alright but when you finish your trial, DO NOT PURCHASE SUBSCRIPTION THROUGH THE APP, go to the actual website and pay for it there or they will steal ur money
The notifications need improvement
Sometimes I receive the notifications and sometimes I don’t. Also, sometimes the notifications disappear. I use this for my per diem job to pick up shifts, and sometimes there will be a shift available and I don’t know it because I don’t receive a notification. ( yes my notifications are on). This app would be great if they would fix this. I have missed out on working shifts because of this.
