From an employee point of view, this app is incredible!
It allows employees to simply: input unavailability times; read updates in forms such as videos, pdfs, and announcements; and gives reminders before each shift.
When checking in and out, it uses location-based services to ensure that the employee is actually there as well.
The little touches like the emoji’s when checking in and out through the app are fun too.
If I had to make one suggestion, it would be to streamline the unavailability input process, as it requires users to input unavailability times one at a time, preventing users from putting in unavailability times due to say, another job, for the whole week at once.
This also would help busy people who are unavailable at two different times during a single day.

Please bring back the clock
I just updated the app and found out that the clock has disappeared. Instead, it displays my total working minutes/hours. This is really inconvenient for me because my work is time-sensitive. I need to see the clock in order to know when to clock in and out or start my breaks. Please bring back the clock in a future update. I really appreciate this. Thanks!

Bug when pressing on shift button
Not sure where to report this but there seems to be a bug in the today section when I press the on shift button if there is 1 or more

Good start, but could use some updates
Our workplace started using this app, and so far has been good.
However, when our boss has been sending us group messages, I had missed some important ones! The app only sends you a banner notification, which can easily be missed especially when you open the app to sign in for your shift, resulting you in missing the point of the initial notification that a message had been sent to you.
It’s a little stressful to find out that you’ve potentially missed an important message when you didn’t even know it was sent in the first place! Could some sort of update be added so that a badge appears next to the ‘newsfeed’ icon so we know that a message has been sent?

This is an amazing app to keep control of all your hours and place of work daily
Notification Error
I’m not receiving notifications from the app and therefore I couldn’t claim shifts.
Great concept. Some streamlining required.
Time entry on a smart phone, good idea. My feedback:
Make the ‘Submit’ wording on the top right corner a button on the confirmation screen, attached to the bottom of the other stuff on the screen. Spread the button horizontally, the size of the screen. This will mean that submit is front and centre at the end of the scroll down and everything is confirmed, not a dark blue word on a black screen (yes, dark mode but would work on both) that is nowhere near where the users’ eyes are.
Add a feature when the quantity of hours are known, or unknown and able to be set for an unscheduled shift. Say I have a 5 hour shift, have Deputy ask me at the end of the scheduled time if I’m finished my shift. If I say no, keep counting. If I am finished, stop at the time it asked, at the end of the scheduled time of completion, or in this example at 5:00 hours, or if I pick up my phone at the time I am done, lock in the current time. Otherwise, if I do not have my phone at the minute I finish, then it will be wrong.

New update is bad
It was fine until the recent update. The home page now shows the current time on the top screen in the biggest font. That’s useless, I can look at the top corner for that, I just open deputy to see what time my shift is. Pretty annoying they made the current time the most noticeable thing on the home page.

Upcoming shift bug
On the newest update with all upcoming shifts showing on the Home page there’s a bug where even after you start your current shift and end it. It’ll still show that finished shift on your home page even though it’s no longer in Upcoming shifts

I do not get notifications for open shifts
Hello. My co workers get notifications when there are shifts posted but I never do. I don’t understand because I have my notifications on in my phone settings. This issue is the reason why I get less hours. How can this be fixed ?
