  • UDOT Get a New App Developer

The past app/ version wasn’t great but it was ok and worked. UDOT should fire the current development team and get a new one. This new version has so many oversights and glitches. We are in Utah, why is the default map of the entire country? Make each user able to set a default map/location if they are logged into their account. Lines are way too small and difficult to see without zooming in more than needed. At times I view a camera and then there’s no way for me to go back to the map, I have to kill the app and start again. Terrible user experience!

  • Road work on Browse bridge

I have a question for you smart people. On one of the busiest weekends of the year in 104 degree weather the road crew decides to work on the underneath of the bridge? These people weren’t smart enough to put a cover to catch flying concrete fragments. There was approximately 30 people and their vehicles standing around and one guy using his hammer to brake concrete.
I wasn’t born yesterday but these people were idiots, no one should be braking concrete without some way to keep it from hitting vehicles, you don’t shut down the freeway on a holiday week day, since we’re talking about smarts what happens to a vehicle sitting on a highway running with surface temperatures of around 150 degrees these intelligent people can’t understand why people are parking on the road side? Vehicles along with people heat up.
You people need to work on your overpasses at night when traffic is at a minimum shut all but one lane down 20 miles back so that traffic can keep moving.
How much schooling does a person need to have common sense ? How much schooling does a worker need to cover up so that vehicles aren’t peppered with flying debris.

  • No longer useful

This app used to be helpful, especially when checking for road closures in/out of Ogden Valley, since rock slides, accidents and avalanches can severely restrict travel here. Now every time you look at one camera, you have to exit the app entirely before you can look at anything else.

The option to have the road closure explanations read aloud is pointless, and the AI effort is ridiculous (Weber Co. comes out as Webber Company? I’m just fine reading it myself, thanks.)

Agree with other reviewers - I don’t need to see the entire US, then keep narrowing down to Wasatch Front, then Northern Utah, then keep moving in until I can see the county and then the actual area of interest. This version of the app is an unmitigated disaster.
