Fun Platformer/Fighter Combo
Excellent 2D graphics with a blend of old-school pixels and high quality artwork.
Good price, well designed for the iPad, fun characters, villains and even a few twists thrown into the story as well. There are only two things that need improvement: The controls in general with movement and items are awkward. People that win the game with all bonuses only get one picture unlocked of the two that exist. Besides the controls and unlockables this game is easily worth 5 stars!Show lessLogicSense
Good gameplay. Bad graphics port
I love these types of classic platform gameplay. Ts too bad there's no way turn off the video filter that makes the game look blurry. I rather have sharp pixelated look over blurry graphics anyday.Ryry EJ

Very fun game
This is my first Shantae game. The reason I bought it is because of the game's newly added controller support and WayFooward's great reputation among traditional gamers. Overall, I am not disappointed. The control is smooth, the characters are likable, and game is masterfully put together. I did have the game crash on me multiple times, most often in the shop when purchasing items, so maybe someone can look into it.Show lessheero2002

Well, I just finished this game yesterday, and there is only one word I can use to describe this: AMAZING. The graphics are great, the animations are smooth and the story and dialogue are very well written. I only have a couple of gripes with it. 1. Only one alternate costume is actually available. I think adding more would enhance the experience. 2. The story is a bit short. Maybe add some sort of DLC to extend the adventure so it doesn't just end so abruptly. That's all I have to say about this. (And the thanks to Chris Hoffman & Nintendo Power in the credits made me smile) Now, to anxiously wait for the sequel to become available. Great metroidvania
Probably one of my favorite iOS games. Super polished, especially the animations which are the best part. I've even started speed running it. Only downside is the virtual buttons if you don't have a game pad.Jamos05

Just beat this and will likely play through again to get 100% of the items. Controller support was great and this game is easily worth 4X what I paid for it. Best IOS game ever. Looking forward to more great games from Way Forward.i64X.com
