Works great until it doesn’t
I loved Mobee at first even with their many limitations, or lack of support during missions. The. missions started dropping without any way to retrieve them. After completing a mission and pressing submit, it can just disappear! No upload and no way to retry! This is the only app for contract work that I have seen that doesn’t have the info temporarily stored to upload when internet is stronger or for any other technical issue out of the users control. I get so nervous when I press submit for I can’t tell when it will work or not. Work is lost without anyway to retrieve it. I am told their engineers are working on it but it’s been months and many are still having this problem! I reluctantly do these now just to wrap up my bonuses that are 1-2 missions away. I just lost a mission that took one hour and only paid 1000 points! So frustrating!

Stupid excuse “you need to be at this location “
Mobee is getting much worse and stupider with its software version updates in the recent months. Too many times the app just simply crashes during the missions or even at the final submission with a ridiculous excuse “you need to be at the location to start a mission”, but the location was already verified at the beginning, why it needs to re-verify during the missions? The reason is obviously the switch of network signal between the cellular and the store Wi-Fi , , the Mobee app always crashes whenever there is such a switch. Once the crashes occur, the mission will never allow you to re-start with the stupid warning message “wrong location” at exactly the correct location. It’s already 2023, why Mobee software engineers are still so stupid coz they are not able to correctly detect the GPS location in cellular and Wi-Fi. How can these idiots conclude inconsistent location information between cellular and Wi-Fi ? If they are so incapable they should just simply disable the location re-verification. However, the customer service just doesn’t do anything to report or fix the stupid bug for months. They think it’s not something they can control… (What?)

Great app!
I love these kind of side gig apps and this one is definitely one of the better ones!
They reject your work a lot ( so no pay)
You waste your time and gas money doing jobs for no pay. Are they using all my other photos to get themselves paid? I often took 10+ photos and answer a bunch of questions each time but got rejected bc my work was 95% correct or the expectation didn’t match the actual store.
They have rejected frequently ( no payment) often because the pic don’t match what they “think “ I should have taken pic of. Example: they rejected a photo of 10feet of Halloween candy because it was an ‘endcap’?? It was an aisle! They really don’t let you explain or retake the one photo they rejected.
Another job was rejected because they expected the store to have a larger area to wait to use self checkout. (I took the photo of the area where shoppers wait but Mobee decided I didn’t, i think because it didn’t expect it to look like it really did.)
Yet another job rejected because they said to take photo of beginning of bakery area do i did. The store had displays immediately inside so i took the photo. the store also had a larger display section a short distance away . Mobee said the photo of the beginning of bakery did show what they expected to see(the second half)
There are other rejections. I’m done unless they fixed the issues

Not trustworthy. Waste of time!
I have completed 3 missions so far. And none of them have been accepted or paid out. They are very nit picky which it explains that when starting however, there were various reasonings given why my mission wasn’t accepted. Also, another time I completed a mission at Walmart and it was a wild goose chase and a lot, and when I went to submit it, app magically closes and ALL my work and effort JUST GONE! Like I had never done it. Not a legitimate application, I’m educated with a bachelors degree and still they found faults on my end. Then the missions were mysteriously taken down as if someone completed them and no longer available. I am convinced they took my hard earned work and still utilized it on their end and rejected any type of payout to me. I will be deleting the app. I gave this app three tries and all had some complication. Save your time, energy and resources for a legitimate app. This one is not user friendly, nor trustworthy.

Frustrating
I have used this app for a while. I enjoy the work. I have had work/ missions declined due to blurry pictures. They email you the picture that is blurry. The pictures I took were clear. Very clear. I have asked for reconsideration, my reconsideration was acknowledged, but decisions are never made. I received an email with a response to an email I sent in and I was told they didn’t know who I was and couldn’t identify the account. YET I received emails from Mobee otherwise. I have been in the middle of a mission and had the app completely stop. All my work is lost and there’s no record or indication that I’ve even done anything. I have completed missions and will go to upload the information, it starts on photos updating and does not go beyond that. My work is not submitted. It’s lost. This has happened more than 10 times. I have driven to a location and go to start the mission and I get a message saying I need to be at the location to start the mission. I have very little help other than an apology and to let me know they can’t recover my work. Other apps are better, more accommodating, and they respond back very timely. I don’t know that it’s even worth one star. There was not an option to leave half a star. Disappointing!

Not worth it.
Mobee seems to want to collect the information they need, but not pay the people collecting the info for them. I have had missions rejected frequently for the pettiest reasons, and sometimes the reasoning is not even true. (Example: question asked if there were mints in the photo. I said no, because there wasn’t any. Reviewer claimed there was, but never responded to my dispute asking for the mints in the photo to be named). Mobee will reject missions because ONE photo out of ALL of them was not what they wanted. Even if one photo is off they still got the info they needed through the pics, and then cheat you out of the money. Sometimes they require you to spend so much time taking photos, answering questions, MEASURING spaces in stores, just to not pay you in the end. (While again, they got the info they needed). Not worth the drive time or time spent on ‘missions’ if they just get rejected, or are only worth $4.

Don’t use
Every time I try to complete a mission, it crashes and suddenly the mission isn’t there anymore. And their pins for locations are way off. I went to a location and couldn’t start the assignment because it said it was somewhere else. Don’t use if you are in Canada. It’s useless.
Update review
The app update seems to solved the problem. However the amount of points per task are lowered a lot. Since everything went up with the pandemic the payment stayed low. Think the app should give more points .
