Nice in Theory, but Don’t Waste Your Time
I do a ton of auditing and secret shopping via apps. I love the idea of earning points for gift cards, but overall Mobee is a huge waste of time. Only about 1/3 of missions get approved and those that do get approved take forever to be approved. Most of the time, instructions are short and unclear or long and contradicting of what was stated in the previous paragraph. Nine times out of 10 the missions take significantly longer than what is quoted on the briefing page and there are almost always more photos required than what is stated will be required. If you have a mission denied and you submit a counter as to why it should have been approved, you’re lucky to get a response in the 7-10 business days they state you will get a response, if you even get a response at all. Overall, there are so many other apps similar to this one that have better approval rates, better support, are easier to navigate, and pay you actual cash not just gift cards. Seriously, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS APP!

Used to be good but recently it’s a 50/50 chance that jobs get approved. And when you ask for customer service… crickets!
Sometimes the task asks for photos done in a specific fashion but the display won’t allow it… for instance, a local Walmart has a 4-sided standalone battery display. The task asks for top-left, bottom-left, top-centre, bottom-centre, top-right and bottom-right photos. That won’t work with a 4-sided display. I mention it in the notes why I photographed 4 sides and the task is declined. I email them back and nothing! So annoying to waste 30 minutes of your time for more frustration!!!

Fun but not an income generator.
I like the app, in that it is easy to use, and the instructions are pretty straightforward and easy to understand. What I don’t like about the app is that the amount they are compensating is not really in direct relation to the task at hand. Definitely not an income generator secret shopper experience, but nice gap filler if you’re already at the store. Definitely not cost-effective if you’re going from place to place to fulfill these tasks. For example, a shop to verify battery merchandising, involves walking around the store and counting displays and tags over and over again. Takes about 25 minutes in the big box stores, and about 15 minutes in small stores like Walgreens etc. Payment is usually only four or five dollars. In order to truly motivate people to do these types of shops the compensation should at least be double what it is. No one should have to do any kind of work like this for less than $15 an hour average, and that would be after vehicle expenses.

You will be doing their work for free
They will approve your first mission and then start denying every mission for stupid reasons. They have all the photos you take and can use them but won't pay you for it. When you contact them they pretend to look into it, but won't hear back from them. If it wasn't for us working for pennies, they'd have to pay someone a full salary to go from store to store and check the shelves. They 100% use the photos we take, but refuse to pay for any little mistake. Every mission takes around 20 minutes, not even counting the time you waste while waiting for the aisle to be clear of shoppers or employees, who, by the way, find it very weird that you take 10-20 pics in one aisle. They want you to be a "mystery" shopper basically but that pays a lot more than these guys do.

That fifth star is tied up with some of the requested information. I did 10 miles at Costco searching for products that were out of stock but because Costco fills in blank spots with other products there is no way of knowing that the product is out of stock or discontinued. The Leto products were moved to the front. I actually talked with a clerk who was stocking he said they had the product two weeks ago but that he thought it was out of stock. Costco is a different kind of store so I totally understand but this is the way to tell you guys.

Missions get declined for petty reasons
This app was fun until they started declining all my missions due to petty reasons. Now every single one I do gets declined for something that should not be a reason to have all my hard work be for nothing. As long as they get their information though… After spending 30+ minutes doing a mission and double checking everything to make sure it’s all done right, my missions are now getting declined for taking a picture of the “wrong section” when I am asked to take a picture of plant based beverages and I include Califia Farms (which is listed as a plant based beverage in their app), for apparently having a duplicate photo, and for saying that a store had only one type of Kinder egg but the reviewer said they could “clearly see” the other kind under the counter which I know was not true because I was actually in store and looked. After responding to their emails to dispute a mission being declined they are supposed to get back to you with a DETAILED report of why they are still not approving it but I have yet to receive this for any of my missions. It seems as long as they get their information that’s all that matters.

I recently started using Mobee to make extra cash and gift cards. When I first started using it, my missions were all approved and I did not have any problems now when I do missions, they are constantly denying everyone of my missions. One of my missions was denied because I did not answer a question correctly, according to them, I have done about six missions in the last two days or week and they have denied everyone of them. It’s always a reason that makes absolutely no sense why it was denied one of my recent denials said that I did not take the pictures requested, but I literally took a picture of every item on all four sides of, the stand and it clearly showed all of the product. Just beware they will let you be great for a small amount of time and then you will get denied for every mission.

Wasted a day doing missions granting only around 2500 points to wake up the next morning with 0 points. Can’t afford to waste any more time on it.

This is an excellent mystery shopping company. I love redeeming my rewards for gift cards.
