Poe's stories brought vividly to the IPad
My English teacher daughter recommended these apps to me. Macabre, beautifully and ingeniously, each story comes to life. The music and special effects surrounding the text and artwork give Poe's tales a new richer dimension. Something Different
This is something different for sure. Yes, it's a bit dark. If you don't like dark, gothic, or death related kind of stuff, don't download it. I like graphics and illustrations, and open to dark humour so this is pretty cool in my opinion.

I loved this, I've been trying to find copies of Poe stories on iBooks and App Store for a while, but this made everything so much better with the interactive pictures and sounds. It's brilliant :)Menabear

Being a true Poe fan, I enjoyed the interactive illustrations matched with the chilling stories of some of the best of Poe's works.
Upon downloading it, I read it all from start to finish, only pausing to find out what reactions I would get from interacting with the pictures.Le emerald bijou

I have to say, though I have read these stories a hundred times long ago, what u have done with this app is transform the chilling into terrors. So elegantly done. Please consider creating more of these wonderful apps and if possible use the writer H.P.Lovecraft!!!Jonathan Wolf Martinez
An excellent edition
If you are a Poe fan this first part of the series if both disturbing and entertaining. The interactive elements bring a new life to the stories we all know and love and the graphics and visuals are top notch and well themed within the stories themselves.

Could be more interactive
This is a really great app. It is certainly an interesting way of reading Poe's work. The graphics are great - although if anyone is a teacher (like me) of teenage boys then there are a few somewhat exposed women at times. But it is really well laid out. My only real criticism is that I expected it to be more interactive -clicking to discover clues etc - it's part of the way there. If they were completing one of these for The Purloined Letter I would really hope for more opportunity to interact. There are some good interactive moments in this (the beating heart under the floor boards, Annabelle Lee is a good one too) but I hope they include more in their second edition of work.Show lesshannah, so beau
