  • I recommend

I’ve had this app for 3-4 years using the free version. My doctor told me that I need to start checking my blood pressure every day. For me it was a no brainer purchasing the upgrade. I researched BP apps back then and I had not found anything better, more easier to use, apple health sync compatible, as well as the ability to export is a .csv and send my doctor.
So I decided to go ahead and purchase the full version. Minimizing my effort to sync with Apple health as well as eliminating advertisements.

  • Wonderful app but

Update 2: I see where to click but it takes me outside of the app (instead of staying “within the app”) to set the reminder. Is this a malfunction then? I’ve sent messages to all email contacts you provided here and to my email account).

Update: Reduced star rating from 3 stars to 1. Received two developer responses that clearly showed my concern wasn’t properly read. After the first response, I emailed back reiterating my concern. This time, it took over a month for me to get a response.. the same irrelevant response as before! Each time, asking me to re-rate to 5 stars...

This is a wonderful app for tracking BP, it’s user-friendly and easy to understand. The only thing that I find missing is the ability to setup reminders, within the app. Please fix or and I will rerate to the 5 stars this app would otherwise deserve. Thanks.

  • BEST Blood Pressure Tracking App Available!

The SmartBP app is a clear winner! It had to be developed by medical professionals because of its intuitive, straightforward design to log vitals. This app seamlessly syncs with Apple HeathKit and many brands of blood pressure monitors. The graphical tracking screens are prefect for trending, BUT the “Stats” screens really give you important information on your blood pressure recordings in a meaningful way. SmartBP has excellent sharing ability, and can export a colorful, detailed PDF report that you can bring to your doctor! The app also allows every entry to be custom tagged, which is extremely useful for tracking medication adjustments and results. Overall a 5-Star app with a ton of great features and definitely worth the price!

  • Can’t even get started

I installed this app and started looking around. Before I could even figure out how to add a value, my phone was blown up with ads and “rate this app”. I tried for a while then deleted the app. I came back after a few minutes and re-installed, thinking “surely it isn’t actually that bad”. It was. I still haven’t entered a single bit of data, but I’ve closed about a dozen ads (or more). I fully understand that developers need to sale ads to make money but there’s little purpose to an app that can’t be used (due to the ads).

We apologize for the inconvenience caused due to the full screen ads. Compared to our last update we reduced this frequency. We will do this again as our users come first. We are pushing an update this week.
  • Doesn’t work on my iPad Pro

Downloaded this app on my iPad Pro and found it won’t let me use it in landscape mode, which is a problem since I have a keyboard for my tablet. But can’t use it in portrait orientation.

Next I tried to edit my profile. Found there is no way to edit my new empty profile. If I’m doing something wrong then I would say this app is not user friendly because adding my name should be super simple.

I’ll try again with my iPhone 6 and see if I have better luck. But I would prefer to have this app on all my mobile devices.

  • Biggest load of rubbish.

Downloaded free version. Then upgraded because of stupid ads dumped at full volume whenever changing screens.
Paid the money and downloaded premium version. Which never upgraded. Turn phone off and on tried reloading but free version kept taking over went to App Store multiple times to try to re-download every time that is ten now. It said restoring for free. But premium never downloaded the internet spinning symbol sat there every time and never down loaded the app. $9.99 wasted. I contacted the support email contact. They told me to do what I’d already done 10 times. They didn’t even take the time to read what I’d told them and stupidly told me to do what I’d already done 10times how pathetic is this. Tried to do the restore again another 3 times on iPhone and iPad but looks like the app provider just sucked up my money and spat me out. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!! Never had any other trouble with any other app in 16 years except for this one.

  • Uncomplicated app but ......

This little app is ideal to monitor your BP and weight but only if you intend using it on one device. I have an iPhone and iPad, both on the same wifi network and bluetooth enabled on both but they will just not sync. I have paid for the Premium version solely for this function so it looks like I will be seeking a refund! Such a shame as it’s just what I am looking for.

Hi - You need a premium version running on both devices but you only need to make the purchase once. As long, as both devices are signed in to the same Apple ID, you can restore your purchase for free without making another purchase. To restore your purchase, go to the more section of the app (bottom right most corner of the screen), scroll to the bottom and you will find the option to restore. Please send me a message on support@evolvemedsys.com and I can guide you through screenshots. Thanks!
  • Great tagging feature!!

It's amazing to me how few BP apps include the ability to track factors that might be contributing to BP problems! The flexibility of the tagging features in this app allows you to tag & track - then graph- whatever you want: stress levels, salty diet, major public events (I noticed my BP spike for days after Las Vegas shooting), specific medications or supplements, caffeine intake, etc. It has helped me learn that for me, salt seems almost irrelevant and stress is about 80% of the problem. I'm now tracking Toprol closely as I think I might be having an uncommon but not unheard of paradoxical reaction, with more Toprol raising my BP.

DEVELOPER SUGGESTIONS: ... TAGGING: It would be really helpful if tags could be ordered; if not, it would be helpful if list were at least alphabetized. Also would like to be able to ditch some of the tags provided by app......DEFAULTS: Being able to set defaults for measurement site and measurement location would speed input nicely!......BONUS: The ability to have multiple profiles would be nice. Some of us have non-smartphone-using elderly parents to track!

    Thanks for a great app!!

  • An excellent option

After I started having panic attacks my blood pressure would shoot up. The only problem was that I’d have no way of recording the numbers for a doctor to look at. I’ve learned my lesson and record the readings on this app. I also love the Export function so I can email a full history of all the readings I’ve made.

Would definitely recommend to folks needing to record your BP readings. The interface is simple for use.

  • Full Screen Ads!

Downloaded the app - within 2 minutes of entering my values, had a full screen ad for some tower defense game. There was no “X” or way to back out of it. The ad was interactive, so I played the game for about 1 minute to see if it would go away and it never did. I ended up closing the app and uninstalling. I understand having ads and that is certainly reasonable, but this was beyond intrusive and full screen ads with no way to back out are a no-go for me. Perhaps the paid version of this app is good, but don’t waste your time with the free version. Will stick to keeping my bp values in a notepad note on my phone.
