Leave a Review Blood Pressure App SmartBP
Does Exactly What It Says.
Great little app’, that works well, and shows results in a way that is easy to understand. It lost a star as the app’ doesn’t follow the orientation of the screen when the iPad or iPhone is turned upside down.Developer Response
Thanks for your feedback. iPad landscape mode is coming soon (hopefully this week or early next week). We are in the final stages of testing.Synch Problem solved
I wrote an ealier comment on the problem I had Synch the data between my iphone and my ipad. The developper responded very quickly and the problem is now solved.Syncing mostly works
UPDATE: I have SmartBP 7.5.2 installed on an iPhone 12 mini with iOS 15.5. The developers corrected most of the issues I was seeing. They have worked hard to fix things. On my phone, in SmartBP I have to manually sync with the Apple Health app to get updated data. The tile at the top of the Home page is for manually entering blood pressure and pulse. The weight can also be entered, but curiously, it is automatically filled from the latest record. I guess the assumption is that weight should not change as much as blood pressure and pulse. Once entered the data in the top Home page tile becomes the latest record.Show lessDeveloper Response

Try manually syncing again and you will notice that the message that shows Apple Health syncing is different. If you see the message, it will work. Also, we have an update 7.5.1 coming out in a couple of days that will address the issue you are seeing permanently. Thanks in advance for your patience. I acted too quickly. The app just took a while to reach and synch with Apple Health. This has happened and everything is up to date. My thanks to tech support.
Yesterday, May 24, 2022, this app “updated” and erased my data and cut connection with Apple Health. There was no warning and no instruction to make a backup. It was a good way to track BP without using pencil and paper but yesterday was a huge disappointment.Show lessVery easy to use
I’m not really up on all these meaning’s but the app is easy to fill in after taking your measurements, simple to make your way round the app. Being able to share the required time scale to your drs via sharing it is so simple as well.Developer Response
Thank you for your kind wordsDoesn’t synchronise, and hasn’t for 5 months
Not been able to synchronise my data for 5 months now not be renewing my subscriptions, it’s a shame cos in principle if it worked it would be a good concept, and app, and worthy of the subscription . But as it is now there are far better apps that are subscriptions free, so because that I won’t be renewing.Show lessDeveloper Response

Simple to useDeveloper Response
Thank you for the kind words :)It's a decent app
It's a decent app for journaling BP records but the interface is a little clunky.
Switching between screens clobbers previous date/time choices and cloud sync is best to set up on the outset.
Deleting thousands of records is very, very time consuming. A thin client architecture might be better, but I'm not an iOS developer.
There is no way that i can find to add a flag to a selection of records.
It's nice to present the summary screens to my nephrologist.
Overall, it's better than an excel spreadsheet, and way, way better than an iOS "note" with a table for
date/time, systolic, diastolic & heart rate
but I'd pay for a more polished interface
Bottom line:
not bad, a solid "c" grade or 2.0 grade (USA-style education system)Show lessGreat App

Did help me lot to krep track and share infirmation with health care provider.Developer Response
That’s great to hear! Thanks for the kind feedback!Amazingly helpful app!
I’ve been having high BP readings at the clinic the last few months. Doctor is ready to put me on meds. I asked for a few weeks to check readings and improve lifestyle. This app is showing me so many things! Like what the average reading is and what percentage it’s on each category. Turns okay systolic the majority’s of the time but it looks like I have diastolic hypertension which is supposed to be rare. I wouldn’t have known this without the insights and stats screens.Show less
