All the good stuff, none of the bad
First off, Foreca’s app provides accurate weather. You would think that’s a given for a weather app, but you’re here likely because, like me, you’ve had your fill of apps that can’t tell it’s gonna rain WHEN IT’S RAINING!
Another cool thing about Foreca: they’re not on some crazy subscription model where you pay Netflix money to get a better forecast <cough> Carrot <cough> and they won’t get out of your face about it.
Foreca Weather manages to provide top-flight, free weather without the massive privacy invasions of apps like Accuweather, the Weather Channel, and pretty much all others except for Carrot Weather. (Seriously, who needs more info about you than the FBI just to tell you it’s cloudy?)

Needs weather alert option in maps
I really like the simplicity of the app and for a free app it is good. The only thing that would make the app better would be to display weather alerts/warning areas on the map.Ray Georgiano

Best weather app by far
I hate every weather app for the constant ads, pop ups, and poorly designed layouts that make it impossible to easily find the most important information. Finally went down a rabbit hole of research one day, convinced that there must be a better option out there SOMEWHERE, and found Foreca. Could not be happier. Its intuitive, accurate, doesnt ask me to rate it every day, and works all over the world so its excellent for travel. 10/10 recommend!Show lessEm.tros

This has become my go-to weather app. The forecasts have reasonable accuracy in my area of the US (as good as any, really), but what I really appreciate is the ability to drill down to details such as hourly dew point and wind speed/gusts. The UI is simple to navigate and offers some customization. Overall I'm quite pleased, though there is always room for more bells and whistles such as custom notifications for activities (cycling, boating) and increased accuracy.Show lessGizmoGurk
Best Weather App Out There
I’ve used several weather apps over the years. Foreca is the best I’ve used. The layout is great and the radar animation is the very best. The app is full if information and includes the dew point and other features such as moon phase if you tap various areas on the screen. The settings are rich with options to personalize your experience including ads: full screen vs. banner. I recommend this app to anyone - and everyone!!Show lessRicada

Widgets burn battery like crazy
Looking at battery usage over the last couple of days, versus activity, three minutes of use on Foreca widgets burned more battery than over 75 minutes of active use on Tweetbot. The Foreca widget also uses 3.5x the battery of Apple’s weather widget. I ended up removing the Foreca Lock Screen widget and replacing it with an identical Apple Weather widget instead.
If Foreca can get battery use under control, and offer a rain-related widget, they might do okay. Otherwise I will need to find something else.Show lessCreate Nickname. Okay.
