Gap files the gap

Highly recommended this app. It's the first time I've been able to share my Nike+ Run Club runs with Strava. And you can follow your friends feeds from many many other apps. It also presents your data in a clear and meaningful way, from all your tracking apps

Excellent app - only way to export data from Nike+

Nike+ is a terrible app. It’s buggy and it makes it very difficult to export data. I kept using it just because it had all my runs logged on it. When it bugged out and restarted (also un-synced with my watch) in the middle of a marathon I decided to finally switch to another app. But Nike made it very, very difficult to transfer my data to another app. After trying different methods for days - none of which seemed to work - I tried RunGap. It did the trick in less than 5 mins. You cannot transfer data using the free version. But the $1.99 is totally worth it.

Great app

This app has been a life changer. Not only can I share workouts from my apple watch to Garmin but even more impressive is that I can share from Garmin to apple. Now I don't have to worry about not closing those rings when I wear my Garmin 235. Closing those rings is more motivating to me than just how many steps I do a day. So glad I came across this app!!!

Must have app for sharing workouts across services

I regularly use a variety of workout and health apps (e.g., Strava, Runtastic, SWORKIT, MyFitnessPal) together with my Apple Watch, and RunGap integrates all the feeds into one easy to read dashboard. Other apps may look pretty, but RunGap’s integration with nearly every major fitness app makes it an easy winner. The wealth of information displayed is at least equal to Strava Premium, and easier to read.

On top of everything, RunGap support is top-notch. I submitted a feature request because I couldn’t understand why walking on a treadmill wasn’t considered a “walking” sport. Boom! New release with new functionality! A++++

The Missing Link to Social Fitness

This might be the first and only review I have ever written but this app is EXACTLY what I had been looking for. Now I can sync my favorite run tracker, Runtastic, which none of my friends use to Strava, MapMyRun and Runtastic, which all of my friends use. This app was the missing linking also allows me to take advantage of the best features of the more popular fitness apps!

A Must Have For Your Apple Watch!

This App really is a must have if you are serious about using your Apple Watch for workout tracking and training. It allows you to take control of your hard earned workout data and share it with whatever training software you are most comfortable with (Strava, Garmin, TP, etc.). And the support is outstanding! The few times I have reached out with questions, concerns or requests I have always received prompt and helpful responses; and updates are frequent.
I primarily use the App to share my running and biking data with Strava and Garmin. The recent updates to maintain distance and enable exporting of Laps make it fully functional on Strava!
I also really like the other functionality it gives you for reviewing your workout data (routes, shoe tracking, charts, matched runs,.....). I find myself looking here 1st to review progress and past activities.
Really great App-Many Thanks to the developer!!!

Good but getting complex and inconsistent

I’ve used RunGap for about a year and it’s been very useful for its bidirectional integration e.g. Nike+ to Strava and Strava to MMR. However many of the analysis features are now standard in the much improved Health App in iOS 11 and I’ve found does not consistently work especially to the Health App, meaning I have to delete the data from Health App, then re-Sync activities, which is annoying. I mainly now use the Apple Watch Activity App to record running, cycling etc. and then need to post to Strava and have now found another App that does this really well and is a one off purchase rather than 3 monthly swag bags, so works out much cheaper for what I want.

Response from developer

Hi Dave, Thanks for taking the time to review the app. I am glad that you have found a solution that matches your needs perfectly. I take great pride in answering all support requests in a timely manner and I am unable to locate your feedback. Please resend it to support@rungap.com Best Regards Kristian

Must have tool for all activities

I’ve been using RunGap a couple of months now and I wouldn’t know what to do without it. It stores all my activities from walking and running to swimming. Having everything in one place is fantastic and it gives me more details then the Apple workout app provides, such as cadence and elevation. I also love the maps, they look more like an ordinance survey map so show trails etc. To top it off it’s really easy to accurately export activities to other apps like Strava which allows me to continue using Apples built in workout.

4 thumbs up!

I recently migrated from a Polar M200 to a Garmin Fenix. I was trying to figure out how to move my activities across! Thank god for google and recommendations for this app. $3 for the add on and everything is done. I was able to get TCX files for those broken up rides and merge them together! Not a beautiful interface but the functionality is SOLID! waiting for Wahoo integration!
