A little different at first, but when you get into it- really good value, fly solo smashing npc's and collecting resources or join an alliance an fleet up with hundreds of others for epic battles. A lot of fun with good graphics and MMO game play, I highly recommend checking this out!!

Excellent game, one problem though
Infinite Black is an excellent and addictive game, I just wish their was some sort of battle animation, seperate screen, maybe go far enough to make a controllable ship battle, similar to GOF2, where your gear helps but skill comes into the game a lot more. Other then that it is excellent.

Great Game
Finally TiB has come to iOS, more people yay, the infinite black is great fun and has an awesome community. The game is very easy to pick up and I highly recommend it! A space MMO with a lot of depth.

The most addictive game
So I started playing this game on the new green server my names judgedreadd and to my surprise it reminds me of the old school mud games, I haven't gotten off this game in 2 days :).
Although the game boast black dollars to get that ship faster or get a repair drone there is very little need for it unless you want to save some time.
I will gladly recommend this game to anyone and I am excited to find out when the grey server in 2014 starts ill sure be there too :).

First review, if that tells you anything
I downloaded this game because reviews said that it was one of the few (detailed) games left in which you don't need to pay money to get somewhere. As far as I can tell, this is completely true. Yes, you can spend your money, but the game is completely enjoyable (maybe moreso) without it.
So what is it? I'm probably not the person to ask, because I've only been playing for a short while. I'd recommend reading up a little about it first. If you're looking for something like Angry Birds, light and worth only a couple minutes in commute, this probably isn't it. The Infinite Black is immersive and detailed, constantly evolving, and kind of tricky to get the hang of at first. It's strategic, and it's not really something brainless.
It's about power and territory and how much you have of each.
Now, confession time - this review is in response to a lottery of sorts (again, if it tells you anything, I found out about this lottery by visiting forums. You know a game is good when you go to forums to find out more... Or maybe that's just my definition of a game?) so here's the required IGN: liffae.
And to people on the fence: try it out. It can't hurt. You might find that you don't like strategy and territory and indiscriminite fighting/backstabbing/realism. You might find there's not enough magic and flashy graphics for you. Or you might decide there's something to be had in no IAPs and an infinite space of unexplored territory. ;)Show lessLiffae
Amazing and entertaining
Hello all! I am Nyoka on red and green servers. I have been playing the infinite black for 2 years and loving it the whole time! I'm always entertained by the people and action in this game. All the changes have taken some getting used to but I am still excited about what is still to come to TIB. The people on this game are great friendly and vicious all at once. Come join the action choose your special, some of the specials include tanks they take damage from the rest of us but also have damage reduction, Novas when you are killed explode and damage maybe kill the enemy, Technicians the techies are the healers... Infinite Black is ahead of the pack when it comes to RTS's the game play is massive, the diversity of ships, weapons, upgrades and special equipment is mind bogglingly fantastic. The in game interaction with your corporation / Allies and enemies is so well handled you become emersed in the whole universe, fighting for your corner of the galaxy and your brothers/sisters. The so easy to use interfaces are a dream, you do not necessarily need to spend real money in this game, as you can progress well without, but you will find you will want to spend a little just to Pimp your ship and equipment.

Can you take the black?
This is the best MMO space game I have found available for iOS.
With many ship designs and build sets there is enough to keep people interested.
Predominantly a PVP game though there is a substantial amount of PVE to also keep those inclined interested.
Graphically polished with nice sounds and music to differentiate areas you are in.
Play alone or join an alliance the choice is yours but when the time comes ask yourself........ Can you take the black?
