Mapping software for reporting potholes is terrible they seriously need to sort this out. If you search an address it just drops pin at your location even if it is no where near. If you try drag and drop the pin if you zoom out to far the pin disappears or if you drag it more than one or 2 stops it disappears.
Even when you can final get the pin to drop where you want it, it will have the incorrect address or location. It’s if GCC don’t want you to report faults

Very limited functionality
The interface is easy enough to use however there is very limited functionality, all the widgets I have used just serve as a link to the GCC website where you have to log in again to do what you need to do. Hope they didn’t pay the developer too much for this because it’s essentially an app for the sake of having an app.

App Review
Functionality is fine. However, when I have placed fly tipping issues, I have received messages to say job is complete when nothing has been lifted. This included one request where I had to make 4 requests. Picture of items / locations are attached with my requests. I am currently in the process of reporting another incident for the third time due to above issue.

Not bad, but could be a lot better
The app is fairly straight forward to use however two things frustrate me when using it.
1) the choice to use Apple Maps wasn’t a good one, the interface used to pinpoint locations on the map for waste isn’t easy to use at best, and downright infuriating at its worst.
2) the app crashes on occasions when submitting a case, meaning you have to resubmit the issue from the start all over again.

Stuck in updating
Can’t even access the app , once downloaded it get stuck in updating. I deleted the first download as I thought this was due to me not allowing notifications. Second download also stuck on downloading even though I accepted notifications, deleted again thinking 3rd time lucky, but it stuck again. My Wi-Fi is working perfectly & after 10 mins gave up & deleted it again,

Not enough functionality
To report a lot of stuff on this app it just links you through to the City Council’s clunky website with its outdated interface and terrible navigability. Try finding out how to access funded nursery places for your kids. And there are certain Council faults that are simply impossible to make a about: broken kids’ playpark equipment, dangerous pavement conditions, broken traffic control bollards, collapsing park walls. Another example is blocked drains - you can only report it once there is a major flood, so basically the Council wants you to wait until it is too late to prevent stuff happening!

Refusing to update or work - was very good
This all was very good way of reporting issues but recently has stopped working. Unable to report via map location picker, report anything or update the app. Tried deleting the app and reinstalling, tried setting new password, tried everything, nothing work in the app
Now and all you see is the word ‘updating’ and nothing happens. Refusing to work and no way to report back this. Doesn’t even open now ! Running iPhone 12pro iOS 16.1. I can’t report the version of the app as it doesn’t open but it’s the one from the apple App Store. Really disappointed as this was a good app.

Bins
My brown bin got missed last week I messaged as it was extremely heavy and wouldn’t be able to bring it back down 2 steps into garden the bin was emptied next day and brought back to the front gate with a 👍from the driver great service thanks again

Works reasonably well. But when using map picker if you try and change the address (using edit function) app crashes and you loose what you have entered 😩!!
Disnae Really Work
Whoever user tested this must have been very gentle with it, or they released it with known bugs, e.g.
1 The Map Picker is impossible to use accurately: It shows an address which is streets away from where you’ve put the pin
2 If you select the option to edit the address, it lets you enter a new address then crashes when you click to enter it. It took 4 restarts to report a broken street light and I could only enter the correct address by putting it in the notes.
This is more like a high school project than a professional app. A failed high school project.
