Used to be good

I have used this in the past. Tried to join again. Went through to the end and it objected to the simple password, no special character, tried again from the start, no number, tried again from the start, could not use two of the same characters consecutively. Good apps tell you the rules, without trial and error. I gave up trying to report something I thought would help the Council.

Recent upgrade is a step back

This weeks upgrade leaves several functions without any obvious way of completing a report .... for example fly tipping takes you to other information screen to which there is no way to complete or submit so you are forced to start again .... this app is a lifeline for a lot of folk who need to report issues on the move such as rubbish and flytipping. Looks like it has been released without proper testing. Previous to this upgrade it was at least functional.

Photos can’t upload, comments not allowed

Please review the following:
- when reporting overflowing public bin couldn’t upload photo to help you with identification
- when I tried to use ‘additional comments’ box the app wouldn’t allow me to submit the request (no submit button appeared on page; only comment box with white surrounding)

If users try to be helpful & specific they can’t; less likely for the job to get done too :(

Great way to get results

I use this app frequently to report overflowing bins and fly tipping which usually gets a rapid response. Easy to pin the location on the map and upload a few snaps.

Bulk refuge

I have used this department before and it was just ok but since the return from the covid suspension I can’t believe how good and easy it was to arrange uplift and then to get a date of uplift what a difference that makes
Thanks to all involved

Great app, does its job, rubbish removed the next day!

Super easy to report and the app does the job perfectly fine! I have reported fly tipping (Rubbish —> Fly Tipping) near my area multiple times and the Glasgow City Council crew arrived the next day and removed all the rubbish (usually furniture and they picked up all the litter with janitor sticks around the location, great stuff!) I wish more people would use this app to report rubbish in our lovely city of Glasgow!

A good app no longer

This used to be a great app to use and I would often recommend it to family and friends. They appear you make it harder to report issues with each update. The map regularly fails to work to identify locations, only clearing after app delete and reinstall. Very user unfriendly, it’s as if they make it as difficult as possible to report, which may me the point. Some types of fault direct you back to the City Council website, which is also cumbersome and unfriendly, or directs you to a phone number if it deems it an emergency, very poor service if it’s out of hours, Duh! It needs a major overhaul. Get this sorted now folks, and back to the great app it was!

UI/UX from 1998

This is a terrible app. It also gets worse with every release. It’s not actually an app – it’s a bad skinning of the council website in a menu/browser which doesn’t allow you to step back in history and throws all UO conventions out the window. I went to report a missed recycling bin uplift and was asked to register for a new service, filled in my personal details (20 mins), they confirmed they are sending an email to activate my account. It never arrived. Honestly – why are the council so backward with their IT infrastructure? It’s not 1998 any more but it looks like it in this app

Terrible and not user-friendly in any way!

I don't usually write app reviews but attempting to use this one has sent me into a tailspin of rage. It constantly redirects you to the equally useless website and endless recurring requests for sign-ins for various different affiliated organisations make what should be a 2 minute report take DAYS. I feel sorry for the call handlers at the council who inevitably will have to deal with the requests that the app and website cannot handle.

Used to be good

This app used to be good but it now feels like the council has messed to much with it and its got horribly bureaucratic without any user testing . You used to only have to tell it where you lived once then it knew for future requests , now asking for a bulk uplift is like that bit in the generation game where you had to list all the items on a conveyor belt. Its got far too many fields to fill in , no freetext or photo option , takes forever you’d be quicker phoning . A great idea ruined .
