Average, but has brainrot
There’s two sides to this app, the first side is the side you should trust, like don’t install honey, you know. Those stuff. While the other side, is pure disgusting. Like, there’s videos like: “best couple contest” by GummyDora which includes the characters from a game I play called “Dandy’s world” and they did ships with the characters of them kissing and by the way, the game is for 9+. It may not seem like a big deal but these people who are playing this game is still technically kids and in 2024 there were two people who made somethings. They both got exposed, the first one was Rox and he basically helped with all the older characters and the last character he made was Gigi before he got fired in October. The other one was named Jake and he got exposed by the end of 2024 when he got hacked and it turned out he was a creep. The ships in best couple contest (some I’m naming myself) video are Shrimp light, craft detective, pop music and moonflower. That’s all

Something is going on with the jokester I know I might have not spelt it right but his VS will come up. It’s a 😆 but very very normal. I believe there’s a guy named Bill. We believe he has sadly passed by a man in a red mask murdering him. I am so sorry to have to save this but i’m only seven and very scared that he might come to me and I’m actually crying right now but you need to look at this right now. I love the app. All I need to do to keep me the rest of the people Australia in America so I’m still really scared. So I am not scared because I’m really freaking scared that I’ll get kidnapped because I put on these comments save all the other people like I’m still really scared and there’s many people so please keep everyone safe from RRR please keep the world safe

It was kept real
I am so moved by this man he spent hrs on line trying to give as much of his wisdom as he could disclose he spoke the truth about himself and why he disconnected from his career as a professional MMA fighter and explained it in a most profound and inspiring way that just spoke to me I’m having trouble trying to give my heart to god and his son that I cry from the pain I’ll receive from my loved ones and those who say they are my true friends but have made jokes about the faith I want to give my all Tobit I’m sure I’ll find mates that will open there arms and give me so much more honesty than the friends I have that I’m sure of 100%

Needs fixing badly
Everything that used to make this app run smoothly has been either dismissed or mutated in its functionality. Mostly having to do with the Chromecast queue. Used to be that when you added something to the queue it would ask you to confirm or dismiss. This prevented those of us with sensitive touch pads from invoking accidentally queuing up something because the side of your hand touched a thumbnail unintentionally and thereby exiting the running video and immediately running the erroneous video. Used to be that Watch Later was treated differently from other playlists. You could select a video for the queue individually. Now it wants to add the entire Watch Later list to the Chromecast queue. In the last couple of days it started its most egregious behavior. Whenever you add or delete something to/from Watch Later it interrupts the running video and replaces the Chromecast queue with everything in Watch Later. And this isn’t even limited to Watch Later. Add or delete any entry to/from a playlist and the playlist becomes the queue.
The ability to select what videos you have queued up has been lost. It feels like sloppy programming while trying to add features without regard to how it affects other functionality. Please return the old functionality.

Life-changing access to Music

In general, the free music you provide has helped me, expand my horizons and deepen my faith ,in the ability to make big changes in the world through Music. New UI is worse, still buggy on iPad
I’ve used the YT app on both my iPhone and iPad for years and I didn’t start noticing a decline in quality between devices until this year. Removing the decline button and streamlining the UI was a mistake. Algorithm is worse too; I need to search for creators I like instead of being recommended similar videos. Despite notifications being on, I’m not notified half the time a creator I follow posts something. Seems like YT is shadow banning certain content they disagree with. Also, the app on iPad has so many more bugs than it used to in my experience. The amount of times the app freezes when I tap to open a video, have unsynced audio, or the drag down feature to swipe out of a video not working is ridiculous. The saved playlist pop up is so wacky on iPad, if you have multiple playlists saved like I do, it takes up so much space on the screen and unlike on desktop and iPhone YT, there’s no “done” button at the bottom to take you out of the dialogue box—you need to tap somewhere randomly on the screen to close the window. I’m probably using YT on my iPad 10-15 hours per week and I need to restart the app 2-3 times or more every week to fix a bug. I simply don’t encounter these bugs on the YT app on my phone nor on desktop.

Terrible unfriendly UI
The UI is very user-unfriendly. It seems intentionally designed to trick users into accidentally clicking on videos they do not want to watch. Playback controls not visible until you click on the playing video, then they disappear too quickly, which makes it frustratingly difficult to pause a video at a certain point; for example to read a brief title card. Even the “premium” controls require drilling down through multiple menus every time you reopen the player. Search function is useless as the results are glutted with large commercial and mainstream media channels, making content from independent creators impossible to find via search. No means of blocking specific channels, no means of filtering out mainstream media garbage. Latest update introduces new bugs, notably when you remove an item from a playlist, the list scrolls by itself to some random spot. This is a longstanding bug experienced whenever the screen is rotated, but now it is worse. Also, the new miniplayer is super annoying and blocks the background, instead of docking at the bottom as before.

Annoyingly will reload every time I stopped playing a video and the phone locks
It used to be if a was playing a video then locked my phone the app would remember where it was and would start from where I left of when I I went back into the app. Now it reloads every time and I have to select the play list again.
I also have the phone connected by usb in my car. Previously I could stop the car and leave the phone connected and it would start again automatically when I started the car. Now I have to pull the cable out, go back into the app and find the playlist again then reconnect to play.
Not exactly a premium product that I pay for!

Censorship Censorship Censorship You go to a movie there are ratings G,M,R But not in Google land. Its Censorship And my favourite word=Misinformation What a weak cop out If Google think somebody is telling lies call it lies. But Google can’t because they will get sued. So instead this corporation call it misinformation. This allows them and there elitist mates to pick and choose the narrative that best suits there financial model. Let’s look at The vaccine will stop the transmission of the virus. Complete and utter lies but as it suited the narrative then no problem. But l have yet to see this corporate come out with an apology when they are proven to be wrong to have sensored peoples channels. To do such authoritarian things like demonetise channels. I’m a premium subscriber so why can’t l chose weather or not the channel gets paid, after all I’m paying for the content.
