Improvements are needed!

Some improvements are needed for example: 1. The Clear history. Their should be a way to clear only certain parts of the history and not the complete field. For example, I take a class that the ID# changes for the winter, spring and summer. I just want to get rid of the old #’s only for that one class. I tried to do that and it cleared out everything. Which meant I had to re-enter all those numbers that I needed to keep. WHAT A PAIN!!! You should have a selection of what you want to keep or not keep without having to clear out the complete history field. You should also add a section where you can put in notes. For example yoga 930 the note would be Jennifer. If this feature is all ready in the app where is it?! How do I get access to that feature? I can’t seem to find it. And this is something else that should be added. When you come out with your next upgrade can you please consider adding these features in? Thanks. P. Tennyson

10 Stars - Zoom coped with COVID demand - incredible achievement!

We need to recognize that this corporation managed to expand its app to meet the sudden demand that emergency COVID quarantines created. How many groups could have met and sustained services with that kind of increased demand? I believe part of that was done with leasing bandwidth from other web entities but think of the huge increases in exspenses, staffing, especially technical support. They changed our history - what would the COVID quarantine have been like without all the business meetings, family conversations, ability to see and talk to our doctors and COVID-infected people? What about all the legislation, worldwide infrastructure and services that were able to go forward aided by Zoom? Yes, Zoom has become a part of our daily lives and it’s easy to take Zoom for granted. But during the crisis of 2020 and ongoing distancing in 2021 and 2022 these people worked hard, smart and saved many of us from the crises of isolation. Thank you, Zoom.

It’s really good but I have some issues

Well, at the beginning, I have a Google account but I forgot my password so I’m unable to log back in to my Zoom so yeah and I would just like to ask if you can make it able to like just be able to put in your email and you’re able to get right back into your Zoom account, and another thing is if you could host a meeting without having to sign in for me and my friends use this since her phone and uses her computer and order to talk so I would like to host a meeting with in and be able to just talk to her without having to sign in like I can just login without having to sign in or sign up I can just go in and be able to chat to people and host meetings, so I asked if you could do that, anyways this app is really amazing And I’m glad I can still talk to my friends I forgot my email. And one more problem is that I was using this cause I had barely gotten it and I used it and then the next day it kicked me out of Zoom and I forgot my password. But otherwise app is amazing I love it and I recommend it so much.

I hope you can editor because this is a really big problem. Thank you for reading this review and Have a wonderful day.!

It’s a great app , but..

Zoom is a great tool I used to study with friends, video chat, etc. and used to absolutely love it. It works great with SMS and provides a great alternative to facetime for those that don’t have it. However, the app added ridiculous time limits to meetings and it has gotten to a point where I can no longer use the app productively. They originally only had a 45 minute time limit on group meetings, so once the 45 minutes were over, you’d have to create a new meeting and resend the link. They then continued to add that same limit to one on one meetings which got slightly irritating as it would cut out and I would have to create a new meeting over and over again. While I thought this got irritating at times, the app was still functional so I continued to use it regardless. Recently however, they came out with a new update where you must wait 10 minutes after your meeting ends to start a new one. While I understand that they may want people to purchase premium, it has gotten to a point where you cannot even use the free version of the app functionally. The limits have gotten unbearable and there are many other FREE video chatting apps that perform a similar function. As a college student on a tight budget I simply cannot afford to pay for the premium version of Zoom and am absolutely devastated to have to let go of this previously amazing study tool.

From Covid to now, - the zoom experience

I am a psychotherapist and I’ve always been sceptical about online work with clients. The onset of Covid forced me to rethink my position because I could no longer see people in the room. Somebody introduced me to Zoom and from March 2020 I started using it it was easy it worked and I was surprised by the depth of the sessions we could achieve through this medium. It was consistent and reliable and easy. for my clients to access. Also remarkably cheap. I have never had a problem with it. It has been consistent since those first days. I now do a hybrid whereby I am back seeing people in the room, but it is often interspersed with Zoom because my clients go abroad et cetera it has been fantastic and financially. It has been a very successful medium that’s allowed me to earn a living when it would, otherwise have been impossible. So, thank you for your expertise, the serendipity of zoom, and of course, I’m a satisfied user. Best wishes, Nick Mercer

I love the ease of Zoom

I’ve been using Zoom for teaching, family catch ups, 30 year reunion with an international bunch of friends…. It has been outstanding every time.
I will be working differently for the next few months and just went to cancel my account to save a few bucks while I’m not using it. I just want to praise you for the transparency and ease of being able to cancel my subscription at this time. There’s no hidden fine print or hard to find cancellation button as other subscription services often build in. I’m very grateful. I loved that a box popped up with an option to pause my account - which I decided to do instead of cancelling. It’s a smart move and this the clarity of the pop up explanations that accompany each choice I make regarding my subscription is clear and easy to understand. Just wanted to give you, the Zoom team this positive feedback because the ease of use without hidden trickery shows a respectful approach towards your customers. I’m very appreciative. Many thanks indeed.

Warning: they do NOT REFUND

I purchased a monthly subscription (thank goodness or I’d lose more money) to use with my students. I used Zoom on an iPad Pro hoping for gallery mode viewing of my students while I screen shared but this technology was not available. Spoke to an online technician and they confirmed it was not available so Zoom was unable to meet the only requirement I needed it for.

Spoke with the billing department and they are unable to refund anything even though today is the first day of my lesson and I cancelled right away (I swapped to Google Meet half way). They did not offer me free trials beforehand so I was unaware of this lack of technology and the online assistant mentioned “free trials are given randomly” so too bad I wasn’t selected.

Would not be recommending Zoom to my colleagues or students. I am using Google Meet now instead. Much better video quality, free to use and has the technology I require.

Why????

I used to use zoom in 2020 when it was really good and easy to use but now it is harder. If people have the time to figure out how to know your password to get in a meeting then I recommend it to waste a long time to figure it out. If anyone can pls tell me how to know the password for a meeting because I tryed joining my friend on zoom but I wasted 2 hours just to figure out the password to get in, and since I didint know it my friend made the meeting and she told me her password but it didn’t let me. I personally think zoom was much better before. I think Zoom should be like in 2020 again but with the chance to do the chat between friends thingy. I found it really hard to use. I tried signing in but it’s said I’m too young so I tried doing it again and then it won’t let me 😡😡😡 and I found it really annoying and I tried keeping calm but instead of playing Roblox with my friend I spend 2 blooming hours to try and find my password. I hope you found this usefull

Signing in, when I am not the host

It’s ok when I join a meeting, but when I’m hosting and then sign out of that meeting, close Zoom down, then join a meeting as just a participant it puts me-as a host. Then to stop me being a host I find I have to delete Zoom altogether and download it again. Why is that? How can I prevent that occurring

Zoom isn’t really great with iPads

While the basic Zoom subscription DOES work on an iPad, it obviously wasn’t designed for them, and is clunky and awkward to use whilst online and on camera. The interactive meeting settings such as the Chat box are situated at the top of the iPad screen, whereas they are at the bottom of PC screens. Most iPads do not have the capacity to operate with a mouse. That means that a user has to reach up across the screen to click on setting options mid-meeting. Others in the meeting see this huge hand reaching for them. 3D is great in a cinema, not so in a business meeting. If you only have the basic subscription, you can’t contact the Zoom tech team for assistance, and have to rely on their online help topics, which are pretty unhelpful for iPad users. I haven bothered looking into whether a iPhone is any better, because quite frankly, who wants to have a zoom meeting on a tiny screen. Zoom has been fantastic during the COVID-19 lockdowns, but I whish they would hurry up and make it a better experience for Apple users.
