  • App not reliable

Recently had Bali holiday with Premium Flex tickets. Tried to extend return fight but App was unreliable trying to change. When finally getting access to change flight comment was couldn’t change flight less the 48 hrs to original although Premium Flex are suppose to be able to change up to 2 hrs before original flight. Tried website and again no access to change flight. Tried calling and just got voice message. We paid the extra for these ticket and expect to be able to take advantage when required. Not impressed

  • Child ticket booking issue

There is a terrible bug in the booking flight part of the app. Suppose you are booking a ticket for a child who is currently below 2 years (infant) but he will be 2 years (child) on the departure date. In this scenario the app is not allowing to choose the Child (2 years above) / DoB saying he is an infant (2 years below currently) and cannot proceed as a Child. Due to this Im not able to book a ticket. Pls fix this. Noted that the website works well. Looks like a validation issue in the app only.

    Developer Response

Thanks for this feedback, please select "child" instead of infant because on travel date your child would already be 2 years old and above. Child's date are according to travel date and not booking date. Hope this helps. Appreciate your support and patience.
  • A laggy mess

Not a reliable piece if software. I would be concerned of using this for anything but the bare minimum features. Any attempts to enter personal info or book flights leads to severe lag spikes and repeated app crash.
This is limited to this app. Everything else on device works fine. The app is the problem.

  • App capabilities

The app’s functionality is quite limited and lacks comprehensive options for finding information about services. For example, it doesn’t adequately explain features such as hot seat bidding, the reasons for bidding, or the benefits beyond early boarding. Additionally, the add-ons are cumbersome and significantly prolong the flight booking process due to the numerous steps involved.

  • Privacy leaks

After I book the air-ticket from Air asia move application, there are many call from Malaysia (country code) to inform about investment in gold and crypto currency which make me feel uncomfortable.

I never experienced anything like this before. So I quite sure that your application share my information to these businesses.

  • Chat bot useless

The chat bot is useless and trying any other means of contact for support just says to ask the bot…utterly useless
  • Inconvenient and Unfair Post-Purchase Service Add-Ons

I recently had a disappointing experience with AirAsia’s post-purchase services. After booking a flight through a third-party website, I found it impossible to add on services such as additional carry-on or check-in weight through AirAsia’s website or app. The credit card option was grayed out, with a message indicating this was due to a “non-login” issue.

Assuming that creating an account would resolve the problem, I did so, only to find that I still couldn’t add these services. This left me with no choice but to pay almost three times the cost at the airport. This process is both unfair and frustrating.

Given the numerous negative reviews about this issue, it’s evident that AirAsia has no intent to resolve these long-standing problems. This lack of responsiveness is unacceptable and disappointing for customers.

  • Avoid Buying an AIR ASEAN pass

I see that Air Asia are selling their pass again…..you are being forewarned.
I bought one last year, as I’m a regular traveller, fantastic on paper I thought, but the free flights?
They are few and far between even if you attempt to book well in advance, biggest rip off by an airline anywhere in the world.
If their offices were in Australia “Consumer Affairs” (The ACCC)the regulatory body would have closed this airline down years ago for outright fraud.
And if a flight is cancelled, do u think u will get ur money back?
They say it will be actioned within a month but people are still waiting years down the line and if you ask for a “credit voucher” you will get it but unable to use it on many flights.
And you want to speak to a human, good luck with that.
There is a “Air Asia Victims Australia” Facebook page…I suggest you read it before committing your hard earned cash to buying a “pass”..
Draw your own conclusions, but don’t say u were not forewarned.
Use google re complaints re Air Asia…it will prove to be an education.

  • Customer Service Bot is useless.

Tried to ask why my booking wasn’t showing on the app under my purchases but could not get an answer. The bot knows nothing about the mobile app and can not answer anything about it no matter how you phrase it. Useless. And there’s no customer service email I can write to about this issue
  • A Nightmare trying to get a reimbursement

Luggage was delayed and it didn’t arrive with us on the same flight. Indeed it arrived the next morning, leaving us with no fresh clothes and necessities to freshen up during our transit in a hotel for our connecting flight the next day (separate booking). With back and forth of emails for weeks asking for numerous supporting documents, end of the day with everything supplied, an email sent to advise they will reimburse RM144 to our nominated account. Days later, received an email and saying they didn’t receive sufficient document and now the case is closed. it’s ridiculous!! Waste of time and inefficient.
