Need to keep reinstalling app

I find at least weekly I need to reinstall the app as it doesn’t open until I delete and reinstall. I use the app instead of the reader and I can’t change back to the reader without losing access whilst waiting for a card to be sent

Coutts banking app

App functions basic, site down for maintenance much more often many other banking apps . Service really dropped in quality since the new website launched .. account transaction search function only works occasionally . Telephone banking service reply time has increased dramatically from being ‘great’ to now ‘average’ . Service not equating to a private bank more an average high street bank . Shame as it used to be so good before the changes were made

New mobile app

This is a great improvement on the old app. It is very easy and quick to use and seems extremely secure.

Very limited

Having switched my main current account from Barclays, I feel stranded. This app is like something from the old days of online banking circa 2010. It requires a PC to make payments- who carries PC around with them? It only updates over night, and not at all at the weekend. The online banking platform it links to is so complicated and cumbersome I just ring Coutts24 to do simple transactions. I haven’t had to use my phone for banking in over 10 years. You can do better Coutts. Open a Barclays account and see the difference for yourselves.

Good app

The app is excellent, does everything, intuitive and reasonably fast, just as well that their technology works well because their bankers are invisible. The recent update has not done much, if anything to improve the system but it is fine and comparable with other bank’s systems.

Love this banking app, not only does it remind me of how much of a success I’ve become (came only open an account if ya have £1million or more) it really helps me do more than I ever could with other banking apps. I can only imagine if you have giving this app less than 4 stars you have other issues in life, as this app is a dream to use. 5+ stars

Is there a bug in opening ?

I do like this app but since the most recent update to IOS 15, it seems to start to open, hang with a white screen, close. When you then reopen it works

Keeps crashing

Repeatedly get a white screen when opening the app, only way to fix it is to close the app then try again. Payments process via the app is also incredibly convoluted, and still requires using a computer.

Regularly freezes, now freezes after logout & reload of app

Something wrong with this app from March 2021.
Even deleting & reloading the app doesn’t resolve issues as it used to. Similar on both iPad and iPhone.
Time wasting means better to rely on other forms of banking.
Let’s hope the authorisation continues to work otherwise....

Pretty awful

This app (unlike other banking apps) is full of irritants thus making its use a frustration unless you are doing something simple. If you need to change anything with an existing payee (the ref eg) it now has to be authorised with a card reader - utterly pointless. Every time I launch the app I get an error message !app-settings alert ... Coutts digital team have been no help in ridding me of this irritating little glitch. Often slow, frequently clunky and frankly in the digital dark ages. A little like the bank itself which for some bizarre reason only offers Apple Pay to Silk card holders.
Come on Coutts get it together.
