Fletch London
I have used this app for just over a year, at first I would have rated this App as five star however, these past six months two problems have arisen. Firstly, I have two monitoring systems in place. One of these has never failed but this app has failed twice. The app’s ability to count is very poor, at every repeat of prescription the pill count is invariably five to six pills out. Interestingly it is by both odd and even numbers. I take two types of pills twice a day. Recently the app is confirming the pills have been taken, ten to twenty minutes later a reminder has appeared saying I have not taken the pills. Mine is an iPhone 11 and all software and apps are up to date. Just a note, one of the comments made related to problems with repeat prescriptions, I have had the same problem and researched the reason for this? It’s to do with the source of the prescription, in my case, the local surgery. The problem there is high turnover and lack of staff. Getting to see a doctor was bad enough before Covid, now after Covid it’s virtually impossible, most locals now go straight to A&E. The waiting list is circa 5 to 6 hours.

One step away from deleting
Have used this app for quite some time now, and have more or less enjoyed the improvements and enhancements. Along with the improvements, I’ve also seen the app become noticeably slower and buggier as its complexity increases. I lived with it though, because I came to depend on its core functionality. I have - until recently - considered Medisafe a 5-star app. Now…I feel I’m being overly generous with two.
Then the app began intruding with messages about adding rheumatoid arthritis. And I DO mean intruding. Every time I opened the app to do something the RA massages would overlay the screen and I couldn’t dismiss it. Then the ‘spinner’ would appear, and the app was effectively locked up, and all I could do was kill the app. Over time the RA massages stopped appearing, but the spinner appears now every time I open the app, and takes several minutes to disappear, though at times I’ve had to just kill the app because it stays locked up for so long.
Now that the iOS Health App will track my meds like Medisafe does, I’m considering deleting it. I’ll try this latest update, but if it don’t fix this unresponsiveness I’ll have to take that step. Really hate to abandon an app that I’ve come to trust and rely on, but I just can’t deal with how poorly the app works of late.

Not a single “Medfriend” notification
We installed the free version of this app on my child’s phone before they left for college so that we could be sure they were taking their lifesaving medication regularly. I was set up as the “Medfriend” to receive notifications if their meds weren’t taken on time. In the nearly 2 months that it’s been installed not once I have I ever received a notification. I contacted the developer and was instructed on numerous things to try to fix it. None worked. I was then told to send an email from within the app. I’ve sent 2. It’s been radio silence from support for a month now. Had this app worked as designed I fully intended to purchase the premium version so that we could add my spouse as the other Medfriend. As such, I’m about ready to delete the whole thing. On top of the notification issues it takes forever to update in the app when my child has taken their meds. It’s incredibly inconsistent. I’ve had it take anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours to update. So we’ve resorted to having my child just text us they’ve taken their meds. The app was supposed to give a little extra independence to my child from having to contact mom and dad on a 2 times daily basis. Super disappointed.

Excellent app
Love this app and would be stuck without it. Just needs a volume option on reminders. I’m busy listening to a podcast through my AirPods and suddenly Morgan Freeman is yelling at the top of his lungs. Can we sort a notification volume please?
Great handy app!
Love how it makes a subtle pill bottle rattling sound when you need to take your pill. Doesn’t startle you but a great reminder and easy to log that you’ve taken your medication.
Poor support and poor application
I have been using this app for a few years now. Recently I had a problem with a medicine that disappeared after an update but the reminder for that medicine kept coming up. As soon as I clicked on the reminder the app crashes. I contacted support and they said that they would get the developers to look into it. Over six months later I chased this up and I had no reply at all. In the meantime the app has stopped updating the amount of pills I have left. It’s also not updating the pills when I add more. It doesn’t retain the counts correctly if you skip or intake pills. They have offered no support. This is my last attempt to get them to take notice. I have to go to a different app now because it’s made me order tablets I didn’t need and I’m dreading running out of tablets because it’s not accurate anymore.

Good except way to many updates.
What is the big problem with updates you ask. Well if you use an Apple Watch to mark your dose if the phone app has had an update then it is impossible to record the dose on your watch again till you have actually opened the app on the phone and watched it spin its wheels while it updates. Only then can you use you watch again. This is totally inconvenient if you have your phone in another location in the house or out of the way in a restaurant and suddenly find the app no longer acknowledges you have taken you meds.

I never have to ask myself whether I took my pills
This app is absolutely perfect for reminding me to take my medication and keeping track of when I took it. Thanks so much for creating this!
Page refreshing gets annoying
Sometimes when opening the app, or selecting a day, then scrolling the page and tapping an action… Sometimes the page initiates a refresh, which cancels the action and interrupts what I was trying to do.
Additionally, sometimes the wrong day is selected when opening the app? Like the previous day gets selected for some reason.
And I’d almost say it takes *too* many taps to take a dose of a non-scheduled med (like paracetamol for example). Some kind of one-tap shortcut would be nice.
But overall, a great app.

Lifesaver app!!
I recently started taking daily prescription meds for the first time in my life. I’m a bit scatter brained, so I knew I needed something to help me remember to take them every morning. I found this app, and I’m so glad I did. It’s so easy to use, set your time, and mark as taken. And best of all, I haven’t missed a day with my meds since I started them a month ago because of this app. There’s times in the morning when I’m in a whole other world, and if it’s wasn’t for the little notification that pops up, I seriously would forget to take my pill some days. I also really love how you get multiple notifications if you don’t mark it as taken. My favorite feature has to be that when you mark your meds as taken, you can reopen the app throughout the day and it’ll show you the exact time you took them. Because sometimes i’ll be doing whatever and suddenly start freaking out thinking I forget to take my meds, but when I open the app, it’s right there that I took them, which is such a relief. I’ve recommended this app to friends and family already, and I will continue to do so, I love it!
