5 areas where it needs improvement
1. Notifications are unreliable
2. Camera should motion detect and issue notification.
3. Needs integration with HomeKit/Siri.
4. Needs an Alexa skill.
5. The app itself needs shortcuts and better memory persistence. Currently, due to lack of proper memory persistence, when I want to open my gate, I have to launch the app, login, select the address, select gate, select open gate. That’s a lot of tapping and loading of pages. As much as possible these things should be consolidated. The camera/gate selection page shouldn’t exist. The two different pages should be one. I’d imaging many of us only have 1 address, if so, there shouldn’t be an address selection screen. In addition to the “Hold open”, “Close”, “Open Momentarily”, there should be a “Hold Open for X Minutes” where X is defined in settings.
The problem that should be solved here is that the amount of time between when a guest arrives and when the gate is opened should be as short as possible. These UI/UE flaws result in increased effort and time.
Additionally, since we may be driving, the ability to use voice commands or at least streamline the amount of taps required is very beneficial.

Needs cell signal video streaming option on the app
This video streaming for this app works beautifully as long as the device that is called from the gate or door requesting access is currently connected to Wi-Fi. If you are out of Wi-Fi connected areas when someone calls from the gate, the app won’t connect and the call is redirected to your regular phone number as an incoming call and you will not get video streaming. When this happens, you will have to separately access the app in order to open the gate. That would have been a good thing to let this user know because I thought the video streaming just wasn’t working when I tested it while 200 yards away from Wi-Fi at the gate.
The app should have the capability to select the option to: stream via WiFi, or through cellular data when WIFI is unavailable-similar to FaceTime. You would have to understand that this would increase data usage and additional charges might apply but people should at least have the option to do so.

Poor app upgrade
Ever since they upgraded this app we have consistently been unable to stay connected. After using it once, the app fails to connect after hanging in limbo forever. If you’re lucky you are taken back to the home screen to login once again. Many times I’ve had to delete the app and reinstall because I’m never taken back to the home screen. Very poor upgrade and no fixes seem to be forthcoming.

The app is broken
After upgraded to latest version, the app is completely broken. Fix it ASAP. Make sure to some QA before release. Terrible service
