  • Very bad programming.

    Three of my last four therapy sessions did not function properly. The first two were cancelled and I went without. The third was fine. The fourth had video problems. We ended up only talking and hearing each other, like a phone call. And this was after a long delay connecting. A phone call would have been better.

    After the session, the portal asked me to rate it. I gave it the bottom score. It then went around and around in circles again. I had to write this report by logging into the App. Store myself, and not let the portal handle things.

    When I contacted Amwell, the company that creates the HMSA Online Care portal, they claimed everything was fine.

    When Amwell asked me to rate their Support, I asked them which one? I spoke to two people. One good, one bad. Amwell does not answer replies nor explain things well when asking in the first place. But they are good at sending emails asking for the same thing over and over. Artificial Intelligence Harassment aka junk e-mail.

  • Major glitch in the app, but functional when it works

    The app had a major issue for me where once a call connected, the app crashed. I tried on both an iphone 13 and an older-gen ipad, and both had the same issue. Calling in through a computer was the only way to connect. I can use the app without issue as long as I don’t actually connect to a telehealth call.

    I like being able to send the doctor photos/videos beforehand to speed up the process. I’ve had telehealth visits at odd hours of the day and both times it wasn’t very long of a wait. The actual doctor’s visits have been great and I have nothing but good things to say about them and the pre-visit process, but the app crashing is such a massive let down. At least your info is saved to your account once you input it, so you’re not stuck redoing it all.

    Tl;dr works great (on a computer), but I’ve never gotten the app to work

  • Connecting Deeply Still

    Having to meet my counselor for the first time through HMSA Online, I was not sure how I would connect with her. But as I got used to the warmth she could still convey virtually at the onset of each session and the depth we could cover in our sessions, I was able to appreciate this avenue of counseling. Its convenience of being able to sign on online from my home did not compromise the personal nature of each visit.

  • Easy to Use

    I love this app because it just gives you comfort when you need immediate medical attention right from home. Pretty easy to use. You only have to wait few minutes and then you’ll be able to get answers with from your medical provider about your illness
  • Online Care is Amazing!

    It’s such a great option to have when you got a busy lifestyle. Doctors always available!!
  • I wish this platform was better for online therapy

    Video doesn’t work good. It’s difficult to hear sometimes and the quality is extremely low. Please find a better more quality way we can have our therapy so it’s not so difficult.
  • You can see a therapist but not talk to them

    The app shows a list of behavioral health professionals that are online or if they are a wait time. But the app doesn’t actually get me in contact with anyone. There are no appointment option for any of them and when trying to “visit now” I was in the hold queue for over 40 mins for the one that was supposedly available now. My wife has used the app on her google phone and she is able to connect and make appointments. I guess it just doesn’t work on iOS

  • Life saver!

    Having this app has literally saved my life! Being able to video with my therapist is what’s kept me going for the last few years…especially during Covid.
  • Doctor is very nice and professional

    Visit went well. I got questions answered and was able to talk to Dr Kawasaki with ease and confidence. Will definitely recommend for adults.
  • Morning Smile

    There is a lot to say about doctors and their services. For example, I had a visit this past Monday and I was not happy with the doctors service. Instead of going back to the Urgent Care, I decided to try HOC.

    It was the smartest decision I made. One of the best feelings is smiling first thing in the morning and you made that happen! Thank you Dr. Gray for being available, considerate and listening to my concerns.
