  • Good app but you need to update

The app is good but after the latest iOS update 13.1.2 the YouTalk specials no longer work. Nothing but a blank screen. Adding up points is useless.
  • Learning lao app

i give this app a 4 star review because most of the apps i try to find, mostly cost money and it’s hard to find any but this is the right one but the reasons why i gave one away is because only one of them lets the person play but the rest will be money and it’s hard to ask you ASIAN parents to get an app just to learn some simple lao.

Thanks for saying you like our app and its free starter Lao content. We also understand that you’d like it all to be free. We would too but we have to charge for further language content so we can afford to keep doing what we do: developing language apps and adding new languages and features. We wish you well on your language journey. Best wishes, Sarah PS If you contact support@utalk.com our tech team can give you some advice on learning Lao.
  • Love the app & variety

Great app to get an overview of a new language. I like the interface and great selection. It’s a nice quick reference and I enjoy learning little bits daily.

My only suggestion would be to selectively restore content if needed. For instance I have purchased 3 languages but only want to restore 2. Another option would be the ability to delete language packs if desired?

    Cheers!

Thanks for the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review and for saying Go Talk is a great app to give learners an overview of a language, we’re super-pleased! 😊 Thank you also for your suggestions about how we can improve our app, we’ve been working out something along these lines already. Please contact support@utalk.com so we can fill you in - and tell you about how to get hold of more words and phrases in your new language too! Wishing you lots of language success. • Superior method

Picture learning works better than pairing English word with foreign word.
  • Cool

It’s awesome that you guys are providing sooo many languages including Africans languages. Most apps neglect African languages and only stick to standard European, Asian, middle eastern, and Latin American languages. I’m Nigerian and my language is yoruba and it’s hard to find that on an app especially when trying to perfect my language. I’m glad it’s not on every app because I don’t want everyone to easily learn my language and understand what I say but I’m glad that this app is so inclusive. What makes me upset is what u have to pay. It’s dumb. Why pay so much just to learn. We should not have to pay to learn. Do premium yeah but for regular learning? Really?! Again that makes me a thad bit happy because it makes it even harder for ppl to learn my language but still. I’m tryna use the app tf.

Thanks for your review saying our Yoruba app is cool - we’re really pleased! We always use two native-speaking translators and two native speaking voice artists for every language so it’s great when people appreciate the effort we’ve gone to. We also give away 15 free words in all our 140 languages and, if you get full marks in the games, you can download another topic for free. We’d like to give away more content for free but then we wouldn’t be able to pay all our wonderful native speakers, tech guys and support team and then we'd have to cut back on our range of languages... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So we really appreciate the support of everyone who helps us keep doing what we do. Wishing you lots of language learning success and please spread the word about our Yoruba ap!. Best wishes, Sarah
  • Fun way to learn

I love this app. It’s a great way to learn new words in the language I am studying. It’s an affordable price too which I appreciate.
  • Wrong words being used😂

Bought this for £20 for my kids.

I’m a native speaker is of Urdu and hello is not hello with a Pakistani accent it’s As-salamu alaykum. Car is not car with a Pakistani accent it’s Gaari 😂

The way the exercises are built seems good but lazy research into has spoilt it

Thank you for raising an important point about how day-to-day spoken Urdu is evolving to include English loan words. For every uTalk language, we employ two native-speaking translators who work independently of each other to translate all our words and phrases. We then compare the results of their work and discuss any differences so we can choose the most appropriate version. Two native-speaking voice artists also look over the final word list in our recording studio. We understand the inclusion of English loan words in Urdu can be frustrating for English speakers but we aim to help our customers learn language as it is currently spoken in everyday, colloquial settings. French speakers are similarly frustrated by the number of French loan words in Lingala. If you would like to chat further please contact support@utalk.com Best wishes, Sarah
  • Great For Military

I was just starting to learn Bulgarian and was surprised to see a few of the topics were military related which was amazing to have access to that kind of vocabulary and learn it right alongside the rest of the language.
