When it’s good…

When it’s good it’s very good… but when it’s bad it’s horrid. I have a subscription and Dedicated IP with Pure and usually it works just fine. But then it’ll just stop working despite no changes at my end - same machine, same OS, same internet. Long chats to support (with long delays their end, presumably due to helping multiple people at once) lots of nonsense like uploading screenshots of the error message (as if I’d typed it out incorrectly), reinstalling even though I’d just updated to the new version, plenty of pointless fiddling with protocols and stuff and it doesn’t work. But then it will work a few days later when presumably they fix whatever they did their end to break it. I need reliable. I don’t get that with Pure.

Scam and lame VPN

I bought a subscription from the mobile version of the site. I paid with cryptocurrency. The mobile version of the site says that the refund will be available for 31 days. I even filled out an email that was indicated as an email in case of a refund at the time of payment. When I found out that this lame VPN gives wireguard configuration for wifi router only for 30min and then I need to renew it, I immediately requested a refund. I was refused a refund, because allegedly their refund policy says that they do not refund money if there was a payment in cryptocurrency. But there is not a word about this in the refund policy, and during the payment from the mobile site, they show that the refund is available for this type of payment and is not available only through google pay and apple pay. It turned out that I had to go through the desktop website and look at the payment page in the only place that a refund is not available for this payment method. Money and time are lost, thank you.

Unauthorized charges

—Update: Customer support responded to my issue by quickly canceling the charge. I consider this resolution satisfactory and I have adjusted my rating accordingly—

When I signed up, I was automatically enrolled for auto renewal with little notice. After my subscription renewed automatically the first time, I made sure to stop auto renewal. Still, the following time my subscription expired, they tried to charge my credit card again without my consent. I had to report the charge as fraud and replace my credit card. The VPN itself was ok, but glitchy enough that I wanted to try a different option. And certainly, not worth the billing issues.

A True Purest

I am definitely happy with PureVPN having used it for over a year now. Like all Apps and software it does have it’s frustrating moments but generally speaking it does what it says “on the tin” and is therefore worthy of a five star review.

Bad experience

Start really well with them but in the end, the service support just said the location I normally use is discontinued and I still have at least 8 months to go with them. Won’t use them again for sure

Generally happy

Does the job well, only issue is the jakarta server was disconnected

A VPN that needs another VPN to run!

As the title said, I have to run another VPN for this VPN to work on my device which is a shame... wasted my money on a 2yr plan for a VPN that keeps on giving me the “unable to connect” error all the time unless I run another VPN first.. their troubleshooting and support team are like a robot, they just repeat the same script “ have you tried connecting to multiple diff cities/ countries” if your app is not working in all countries, it means you failed. Not mentioning that to customers before they commit is a bad thing!

Update: even though I needed another vpn to get this one fixed. The vpn runs good at the moment
